Abriachan Nurseries - The Garden On Loch Ness A beautiful garden on the banks of Loch Ness. Several acres of winding woodland paths, beautiful plantings, secret discoveries and stunning views over the Loch. There is also a great plant nursery selling an extensive range of hardy shurbs and perennials, rare and unusual varieties and native Scottish plants. Mail order is available through a yearly catalogue or online. A great day trip.

Popped in here to buy a specific plant but the season was still too early. Helpful friendly staff, plants were in good condition, no weeds or moss growing in the plants. All in all a place that I would go to on a regular basis if I lived in Inverness.

It's easy to pass this as you stare at Loch Ness. There is a tiny car park and then you walk up the hill to see the hillside garden. It's essentially a plant nursery but in a very nice setting with good views of the hills and the loch.

First time we have visited the gardens, although we have bought plants at local markets. The gardens are lovely to wander around - woodland paths and lots of different directions to take up the hill. Owners obviously pationate about the plants and very knowledgeable. Views over Loch Ness are stunning and the fact that the gardens open in aid of... More

We visit mainly to buy plants which are all grown on site so we know they'll survive the Scottish winter. The owners are lovely and friendly and the views from the top of the garden (donations to Charity) are lvely.

On the banks of Loch Ness, this little gem is well worth a visit. Lovely views and it's miriad twisting and turning paths up the hillside give the visitor something different to see at every turn.

On our tour of Scotland we were driving from Inverness to Wick via Dunrobin Castle and fitted in a visit to Abriachan Nurseries. It is situated on a hillside overlooking Loch Ness alongside a rushing stream. The paths wind through a wild garden with plenty of interest even this early in the season. The nurseryman and his Australian nephew? we're... More

Clearly a labour of love to create a garden with so much interest and variety. It looks like it will continue to be a "work in progress" as new "corners" are added. The steep paths would be a challenge for the less able (although no need to climb to the top), but the views across Loch Ness are marvellous. And... More

We liked this little nursery garden and we wished we could buy plants to bring home. It's a very natural garden and absolutely stunning views of the loch.
