An outstanding architectural feature of St Mary's Church is the rare sight of a Rhenish Helm on top of the tower. Named after the type area in the Rhineland, the Rhenish Helm is uncommon outside of Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Inside the entrance to...More

This pleasant little church is worth a visit. Tucked away just off the A27 with it's unique Rhenish style tower. A car park allows one to walk through the grounds to the church. Set in the South Downs with views of the surrounding countryside.

The vicar and her husband kindly work hard so we are able to offer parents of our school a junior and a senior carol service in this lovely church. My sister was married here in 2012 and it is a very special place.

I sang there aged 4. My 'Silent Night' was exquisite, I can assure you. Admittedly I've put this review off somewhat - but if you DO choose to visit in 1971, you'll be charmed...
