My visit to Mr. Koutsoyannopoulos’ wine museum was an experience that will forever remain in my memory. The tour began with a return to the history of the island’s winemaking, showcasing ancient tools and techniques used for making wine. The exhibitions were extremely informative and well-maintained, giving a deep understanding of the evolution of winemaking through the centuries. Then we had the opportunity to try a variety of excellent white and red wines, each with its own notes and aromas. The experts of the museum were extremely knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge, guiding us through each taste and explaining the differences and peculiarities of each wine. The atmosphere of the museum was warm and welcoming, with beautifully decorated spaces that invited visitors to relax and enjoy the experience. Last but not least, this visit was a real pleasure for the senses and an education for the mind. I strongly recommend all wine and history lovers to visit and enjoy this unique experience.

My wife and I visited the Koutsogiannopoulus Wine Museum in December. It was low season then and we were the only group visiting at that time, which gave us lots of space to look at the exhibits at a leisurely pace. The owners took 21 years to build this museum (according to the website). In this 300 metres long cellar turned museum are models, paintings, old photos, machines, equipment, and some of the owners collection of artefacts and documents. We had an hour there but it was not enough to view all the displays. The exhibits were very informative: gave us a glimpse into the wine making process in Santorini and the challenges the owners faced. At the end of the self guided tour was a wine tasting session. We opted for 4 wines. Eri who manned the wine tasting station was very knowledgeable and charming. We had an enjoyable time. We would return if we get a chance to visit Santorini in the future.

Very good plan to do in Santorini, the museum is absolutely a gem and the audioguide provides all the info to really understand how special the winery in Santorini really is. After that the tasting is the cherry on the top! Our wine expert Konstantina was super nice and professional, thank you so much for this experience.

Visited as one of the stops during a group tour so I don’t know the cost for the regular activity. However, the wine tasting was fun and learned a lot about Santorini wines. I think we spent little over an hour here doing the wine testing and the museum. Museum exhibits could use a facelift but underground setting is pretty cool.

Went on a coach tour and had wine tasting as one of our activities. Lovely venue, 3 wines tasted with appropriate snack (mozzarella stick and dark chocolate) went to the museum. Was very interesting. Staff were friendly and courteous.

A great immersion experience in this underground museum. Many objects and scenes trace the past life of this family of winemakers over several generations. The Audio Guide is provided and available in French. The tour ends with a very nice tasting of 4 wines.

A special experience that is worth living! The museum was very interesting and pleasant as well as the staff, polite and helpful! As for the wine tasting everything we tried was very nice and the staff and especially Giannis was at our disposal for what we needed! A unique experience!
