The display is better than we expected. Some really interesting cases and facts on stones. They also have a friendly cafe which caters for all. Was a really nice visit with C-19 making everything quiet and for £4 each was a bargain.

Superb small museum full of beautiful geology and engrossed.visitors of all ages. Tim Stephenson the most genial and interesting proprietor, welcomed every visitor coming in & spent ten minutes chatting with us & answering questions, so helpful. Terrific displays, enthusiasm & interest from staff, very nice cafe: we really enjiyed our visit and came away having learned about local geology we went to look at. Best £8 we've spent in a long time, it's a little gem!

What a charming, brilliant place. It must of taken a lifetime or 2 to gather all these beautiful gems and stones. A must see if in the area. Brilliantly stocked, well priced shop and cafe. Family of 4 (6 & 4 yr old).

We booked in to visit, was explained to us about the one way system, hand sanitizer etc. Was amazing to see so many gems and rocks in one place! We spent a good hour working our way round. I personally didn't find anything appealing in the gift shop. We did go and have lunch in the cafe. I ordered a cheese and onion toastie.. and what came came was..wow! Paying £5.10 I expected a little salad and some crisps at the side. I was shocked at the tiny toastie that sat in front of me! My hot chocolate came with cream and marshmallows.. think the mallows had been sitting since march, not fresh at all.! 🙄 Wouldn't eat here again sadly but a good wee time exploring round the museum.
