We visited Port Elizabeth on a small ship cruise in Feb of 2017 It is a lovely little harbor. And very laid back Caribbean. There are some cute little shops in the center when you disembark from the tender which brings you in to the town from your ship. Highlight was our lunch at Mac's Pizza. The Lobster Pizza was... I got off the Bequia Express ferry from St. Vincent Island and was not impressed with what I saw of Port Elizabeth. The panoramic view coming into the harbour was exciting though. The following day when I strolled down the Belmont Walkway my breath was taken away. The waterfront restaurants and accommodation all had their unique themes and attractions.. Not... More

Surprise spot with very friendly locals, reasonable prices, calm breezes and endless sunshine. Now has an airport and several resorts that will likely be OK for the usual travelers.

Stayed in a villa overlooking Port Elizabeth loved the view. Had our morning coffee watching the ferry come and go. Was a great area to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables

This is a beautiful place with plenty of charm. The waterfront is full of restaurants and bars. The locals are friendly and seemed happy. The prices are reasonable and there's wifi in several places.

From our Thomson cruise ship we had to tender , so ferried into port Elizabeth for the day so we went on a pirate ship excursion for a few hours then back here for a walk around which was unspoilt and quaint with lots of local gift shops bars and restaurants with free wifi readily available. A lovely small port packed with nice restaurants and bars set in a beautiful bay surrounded by pastel coloured houses. The Princess Margaret beach is only a 15-minute stroll away via the path that leads along the water’s edge. The town in a main ferry port so is almost always busy in the centre but there are lots of quitter... More
