About Coquet Shorebase Trust
Coquet Shorebase Trust is a water activity centre and we aim to make getting involved accessible for everyone. At our main centre at The Braid, Amble you can take part in canoe or kayak tours of the estuary looking at the wildlife, geology and history of the area from the water. We also offer powerboat courses so you can learn to handle a craft safely and receive a qualification. From our base at Druridge Bay Country Park, next to the visitor centre, you can hire kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, windsurfers and sailing dinghies to use on the lake. We are also able to offer dedicated instruction in both adult and children's activities Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets are all provided and we have hot showers at both locations for when you come off the water. No experience is necessary for most activities but you do need to contact the office by phone or email to book so we can make sure that we can provide the best experience for you We look forward to welcoming you.

We have had several trips with Vic and her wonderful team. Kayaking or Canoeing up the river from Amble harbour into Warkworth village and beyond. Really good quality equipment and tuition. A highly recommended family outing.

Booking is needed for most activities, although you can turn up and hire boats at the lake if we are there. It's still best to book to make sure there will be a boat available for you. Vic
