You can park outside the gate and walk to the castle. The view from the top of the tower is stunning, and so is the walk along the seashore to the cemetary.

A fine example of old Scottish architecture. Nicely kept and presented, the views from the top are breathtaking. Take five minutes to visit the smokehouse next door. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful setting with views over the loch. Big much there but good signage. Visit the smokery and the seafood cabin if open.

The journey to Skipness Castle adds to the allure...you travel down a small coastal road, past wee villages of twenty people, pass vast fields of wildflowers, prehistoric ferns, pass ancient iron gates, walk through an ancient allee of trees and suddenly in front of you...More

Sorry I have no idea. The castle is pretty much a ruin, but I am sure you could approach whoever runs it and ask.
