We took the wildlife trip. This gave us an interesting perspective of loch sunart. We saw seals, porpoises, an otter and nesting terns. Andy, the skipper, is a great advocate for the attractions of this location and his passion for the area shines through. Note - the boat is easy to access and suitable for a range of mobilities, but... More

I have been photographing wildlife for over four years. I booked for the very focused trip dedicated to sea eagles to take photographs of the white –tailed sea eagles at Bloody Bay as the highlight of my holiday in Scotland. After a two hour journey including a ferry crossing I arrived at Ardnamurchan Charters to be told that the trip... More

We booked the trip some days in advance to be sure to get a place on the boat and we were very pleased we did! The whole week the weather was stunning and this added a lot to our enjoyment od the cruise. The skipper was very informative and was able to show us some lovely parts of the Loch... More

Pre-booked a trip on Wednesday 18th May 2016. You can turn up on the day but the boat might be full. Scheduled as a 4 hour trip, but turned into 5 hours as late on it was really interesting. Andy Jackson, the owner of the business and skipper of "Laurenca" is a mighty interesting and impressive guy. Has a lifetime's... More

We hired two boats for a few hours. The safety talk and training was very comprehensive and we all felt very happy about going out onto the lake. We also hired two rods - the guy told us the best place to fish and he was so right, we had hardly put our lines down and they were full of... More

I organised a trip to Ardnamurchan Charters for a group of friends to use the self drive boats. The drive there is very scenic but on slow roads so allow plenty of travel time. Parking space is limited, if you are a group car sharing is useful. We found the company to be very flexible and accommodating and allowed us... More

We arrived on spec and having initially been confused with a family who had pre-booked, were able to have the safety briefing with them and head out onto Loch Sunart for a 4-hour boat hire. All safety instructions were clearly given (albeit interrupted at points by a large friendly dog belonging to the instructor) and the boat we had was... More

WOW! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! You certainly delivered today! A excellent day worth every penny . We started around 9.30 with a gentle cruise around the island in loch Sunart ,out towards the open sea via some cliffs ,. Oh only to see a pair breeding Sea Eagles with the odd Golden Eagle and Buzzard thrown in... More

Ard Charters provide boat trips to the local islands and lochs. They have a number of boats some of which you can drive yourself. The team there are very helpful and eager to please and ensure you enjoy your time. They are also very knowledgeable about the wildlife etc. Recommended.
