Despite the oppressively hot and humid weather, we had a good time exploring the remains of Fort Morgan. Beginning at the museum, which was air conditioned, we made our way inside the actual fort. The site is very well maintained, but a certain amount of...More

We took the guided tour this morning and to be honest, we weren’t that impressed. Definitely recommend that you just do the self-guided tour. From what we could tell you don’t get anymore information from the guide than you do from the plaques surrounding each...More

We all had fun exploring the fort. It was a hot day and that wasn't quite as fun so I definitely recommend going on a cooler day. My kids are big complainers and they didn't even complain :)

Our kids enjoyed the cannon being shot off and walking all around the Fort Morgan Site. Very pretty view at the tip of the peninsula. The only thing lacking was more information for the areas throughout so you know what you are looking at. And...More

My family and I rented a condo on the beach west of Gulf Shores and looked for some attractions near by. We found Fort Morgan and visited. It was a pretty cool place. I would recommend it.

Enjoyed roaming the fort and the seaside location. Everything in good shape and easy to get to. One of my favorite places.

About 2 hours, but is one of those self-guided tours that can last as long as you want it. I think we explored every nook and cranny and was there over 4 hours.
