We never tire of visiting this amazing beach. There is nothing better than parking just outside the village and taking a lovely stroll along the beach, down the estuary, past the railway café and then back. It is a very special place.

The beach has a pebble bank to access it but then it is lovely soft sand. The views over the way towards Barmouth are beautiful. The beach is dog friendly off season and has a dog area in the summer. The little train along side...More

The beach stretches for about 2 km behind the dunes and narrow gauge railway. It is mainly sandy and offers views both to the south and the north across the Mawddach estuary to Barmouth. Behind the beach there is a fine view up the river...More

One of many beautiful, quiet and clean beaches in the area. Plenty of parking. Huge wide sandy beach for everyone to enjoy.

Can't believe I missed this glorious beach on past visits to Wales. With a section for dogs this beach is stunning with golden sand. Unfortunately access is tricky as the disabled ramp was lost in recent floods so large rocks and shingles must be negotiated.

Wonderful place for all ages, with the added attraction for the Fairbourne narrow gauge railway and the Fairbourne - Barmouth Ferry (not that I saw it, just the waiting rooms) Great views of mountains, turquoise sea and Barmouth on the other side of the estuary.

We turned into Fairbourne by accident but were immediately impressed by the stunning setting: perfect beach and sea surrounded by mountains. What’s not to like!

After climbing down the stones (sea defences) this is the perfect beach. It doesn't get too busy, unlike neighbouring resorts. Lots of lovely sand, beautiful mountain scenery, clean public toilets, plenty of parking close to the beach and a huge choice of ice cream close...More

You can drive a car onto a small car park at the southern end, you need to cross the miniature railway line.

I didn't see any "dog" signs. Locally to me its the main summer months where there are sections on the beach for dogs and sections for NO dogs. If you haven't had an answer check with the local tourism, the Fairbourne... More
