Stunning

Solva is absolutely beautiful. My partner who isn’t a beach person even fell in love. We walked up the coast path on to the pebble beach and came back the next day when the tide was out and had a day on the beach which was fantastic. Clear water, pools for the toddlers to play in. The tide goes right out so it’s shallow for quite a while. It’s just absolutely beautiful, there’s old kilns to look at too. We had so much fun and I can’t wait to go back. The Habour Inn is worth a visit too.

If it's a relax you are after - could do worse than Solva. Although the road through the village can be hectic (Speed bumps??) 4 pubs 1 general store, fresh seafood, harbour walks along coastal path.

We had a nice walk in the harbour and also a relaxing break at Mumgu cafe in the village. Good service, lovely Welsh cakes. What more can you ask for.
We also on our trip visied Newgale and walked on the lovely beach and also St. Davids and the fantastic Cathedral, and Neyland Marina. Regards Gary Saunders

Just love this place!

Solva is always our place to stop when the tide is out to enjoy a lovely walk down the estuary to the most beautiful beach and cove. Dog friendly all year. MamGus is great for coffee & Welsh cakes. Just fabulous location surrounded by lovely scenery. Parking reasonable. Does get busy in the afternoons. Check the tide times if you want to walk around to the beach.

Lovely village
Aug 2021
Small and pretty, but a busy village. Near the harbour, there is a variety of eateries and a few shops, in the main village, village stores that seem to sell a bit of everything, lots of lovely walks along the coastline.

Locals hate tourists
Aug 2021
Tiny village with no concept of customer service. zero infrastructure and horribly crowded. Few facilities for anyone and huge crowds walking the only street.
Whilst attempting to park in the carpark a small Peugeot CV59 DVR decided to cut in and take a space despite the queue. When confronted the driver became aggressive and waved a yellow card - shrieking 'I live here I live here' .
Apparently Solva residents don't want tourists despite every business on the only street being reliant on the tourist economy.
Real shame as the views and geography could be a winner

Perfect family base

Great place to visit the Pembrokeshire coast - also conveniently located for surf lessons at Newgale. Paddle boarding in the harbour and excellent yoga classes at Wild Yoga Studio. Good choice of cafes and restaurants and amazing icecream at Pointz Farm. Excellent seafood platters to take away at Something Fishy

Shame about the car park
Aug 2021 • Friends
Arrived at 10am and car park already nearly full. Managed a spot but far too many huge camper vans in the car park causing chaos. There needs to be an overlow for these!

Day ruined by someone having hit my car door and now returning home with a dent on my wheel arch!

Pretty place shame about the feeling of claustrophobia with the crowds everywhere!

Lovely village and great views

Lovely village with a few shops and a couple nice restaurants including “mamgu Welshcakes” which was really nice. Lovely harbour too with plenty of benches where you can have a sit down and enjoy the views. Nice and peaceful and lovely houses.

Pretty harbour village

Took a walk from the car park along the harbour wall to enjoy the evening sunshine. You could walk further if you wanted to explore. Lots of boats and people out enjoying the water on kayaks and paddleboards.
