Interesting set of monuments. I was most surprised by the Japanese memorial left when they sailed a replical of the Caravel to Japan, stopping at the island. What a journey that... read more

Interesting set of monuments. I was most surprised by the Japanese memorial left when they sailed a replical of the Caravel to Japan, stopping at the island. What a journey that must have been!

This is a great place to visit. You can either walk to this site or use bicycles.Safe place you dont have to worry about being mugged , friendly residents. After visiting you can relax on the beach or take a swim .The beach is right next to the monument.

The first thing west at Landfall park was the tribute from the 1969 Olympics from Mexico. Our tour guide then told us the history of it. We then saw the beautiful crosses that commemorated Columbus first landing in the new world. Just beautiful!

One from Japan...Mexico Olympics 1968.....also a sunken monument under water. Amazing site...its been study for years now. Sad about the natives but very... More

This is noted as Christopher Columbus' landfall and is marked with a cross and a gift from the Spanish government. While the artifacts/markings are notable, the real showpiece here is the amazing beach. Sunsets are perfect at this spot. A must visit...
