We rented bikes from Club Med to this beach. You should make sure to carry water! We forgot water so one of us biked a bit further and got a local to open his shop just for us. People here are so willing to help you! The beach itself is very pretty but we came after a big party the... More

If you spend some time reading you will feel pretty confident this is in fact the place Columbus landed. In fact most of the world believes this to be a fact. There are a few monuments here. One from Japan...Mexico Olympics 1968.....also a sunken monument under water. Amazing site...its been study for years now. Sad about the natives but very... More

This is noted as Christopher Columbus' landfall and is marked with a cross and a gift from the Spanish government. While the artifacts/markings are notable, the real showpiece here is the amazing beach. Sunsets are perfect at this spot. A must visit...

This is an absolutely gorgeous beach. If I had been at sea, eating wormy hardtack and an ancient pickled pig, I would have stopped. You should too. It's a great place to read the monument inscription, imagining that the beach may have changed in shape, but the general gestalt was the same. Imagine how it would have felt after stormy... More

One of the areas popular tour spots. You can almost miss it as you are driving out of town. Take a little time to read the land marks and take some pictures. :)

Went during The Bahamas' Independence weekend, so there was a celebration on the park. It was a true celebration Bahamian-style: food, drink, music, dancing and junkanoo (music that is uniquely Bahamian) - all on the beach.

The park itself is really neat and the beach there is great for a quick swim if you rode your bike there and need to cool off. There are also some picnic tables in the shade and what looks like an old Olympic monument? I wasn't quite sure . . . The cross is beautiful and well-kept though, definitely go... More

Beautiful beach plus a small monument to commemorate Christopher Columbus landfall but not much else to see or do.
