My son and I had a great dive experience with Brendal’s last weekend. We were very impressed with Kyle and Logan on the dive, and even more impressed with the way the company went well beyond our expectations when we had trouble getting to the shop for the dive. They made sure we got on the boat OK and solved several other problems (caused by us, not them) that might have prevented us from diving that day. Thank you, Mary! We highly recommend this dive shop and will be back!

We were staying on Abaco. Every dive shop we called either had a disconnect phone or they said everyone was employed in construction for the rebuilding. I was told the were no dive shops open on Abaco. So, I continued calling and came across Mary at Brendals. Super helpful and easy to work with. She set us up for a two tank dive.
We had a great time. Kyle was very knowledgeable. Showed us several things we would not have noticed.
And Brendal is a class act. A great dive master. Wonderful stories.
I’m looking forward to coming back here.

We used Brendal for two different excursions and both were fantastic. Feeding the pigs on one adventure and snorkeling with lunch on another. We were in great hands on both adventures. To get started, Mary was quite accommodating and helpful in explaining the area and how to get cash and where to buy supplies (no ATM at GTC) and where credit cards were accepted. And Brendal was very engaging with my family (nine of us) on each of the tours. He could not have been more kind. He took us to feed the pigs solo and his son Kyle joined us on adventure two by not only driving the boat, diving for lobsters (which they prepared for lunch) and assisting in creating an incredible lunch on the beach. Brendals marinade was one of the tastiest I've ever tasted. Very good. My advice is if you go near Green Turtle Cay, you have to go on a tour with Brendal. They are an amazing family.

We had an amazing trip with kids age 2 - 11. Brendal’s Dive Shop does a great job making sure everyone has what they need to go snorkeling and feel comfortable. We saw beautiful fish and a wide age range of kids in our group made memories to last a lifetime. After snorkeling we got to have the most delicious lunch while taking in a beautiful beach and feeding rays. Our family has been lucky enough to go on trips with Brendal’s Dive Shop multiple times and it is always a top notch experience. This is a must do if you visit Green Turtle Cay.

My friend and I met Brendal while on Green Turtle and made a last minute decision to go out on his boat snorkeling the next morning! We were so happy with our decision! The dive shop had everything we needed, including a wet suit. About 15 minutes after leaving the dock we reached the reef. Once in the water we could not believe our eyes! The visibility and the amount of sea life was breathtaking. After our morning snorkel, Brendal treated us to a fresh conch salad prepared right on deck with a couple of glasses of rum punch! We were spoiled! Later that afternoon, we went out again to No Name Cay to visit the swimming pigs and enjoy one last drink before sundown.
I wish this day never ended! I can’t wait to return to Brendal’s next time I’m in Abaco.
We also rented a golf cart and the team was kind enough to deliver the cart to our hotel at the Bluff House.

Great fun for adults and kids alike. We had a wonderful day on a private charter with Brendal and his son Kyle. They we warm and welcoming. All of us caught fish and the kids always had a pole with bait in their hands. Lunch was fantastic and better than any restaurant I’d been to. Sitting in the beach you can snorkel and swim with the rays that come right up to Brendal’s boat and the shore. We also saw sharks up close and turtles. We will definitely be back to visit.

This was absolutely the best! The weather was iffy but the crew worked hard to find us a perfect spot to snorkel! Feeding the sting rays was awesome! Lunch was amazing and it was the best day. Would do it over again in a heartbeat!

Our experience with Brendal and his company was excellent! We booked the trip weeks before we went and everything the day of our excursion went as planned.
We went out with Kyle and he took us to see/feed turtle, sting rays, and pigs. The boat ride around the islands was just relaxing and beautiful. It was exactly the day we wanted to have in the Caribbean. We didn’t have our own boat so this was a perfect way to see the area and get away from our condo for half a day.
Next time we want to explore the Green Turtle Cay more!

Fantastic dive around a reef with tons of fish life. Brendal’s operation is great and we had a ton of fun on the trip. Will definitely dive with their crew again on our next visit to Green Turtle Cay!

You can’t expect any better. Brendal, Logan, and Dion (SP?) did it up right and made this trip worth every OUNCE. Don’t delay and call today. Or text. Or chat. However they wanna do things.

Can you tell us some places on Green Turtle Cay and Guana Cay, (or other locations), where we can ride our bikes, picnic on the shore and do some good snorkling from the beach?

Yes! If you are heading from the south side of the island on your cart towards the north, about 1/4 of the way up (right across from the landfill/dump) take a right on the little sandy road and it turns and runs parallel to the Atlantic. Go all the way up the beach road to the last little pull over right before the first beach house you get too. (It's the last pull out before the road turns and heads back to the pavement.) Park your cart and walk down the beach to the left. The first part of the reef is dead but if you swim out just a little bit to the second reef it is gorgeous. The locals know the spot. If you rent a boat, go out between Pelican Island and No Name island (Piggyville) Head straight out into the Atlantic and there are two reefs (one paralleling No Name and one just a little further out. One of the best sites down there. We had great winds and tides and just motored out and then drifted with the boat back inside and up the reef. Spectacular!

FYI
There is no CURRENT bouys or map for current bouys for Green Turtle Cay.
The company that installed them was Reef Org and they were also to maintain them they lost funding over 10 years ago and hense these have all disappeared.
I DONATED my time/vessel/staff/equipment to help when they were installed over 10 years ago to help with this so I clearly know the history and current status of them here.
A person came to the business wanting the locations of the bouys and a map and the counter person very nicely told him they(the bouys) were not existing anymore an hense there is no map and gave him Abaco Cruising Guide as a source for maps.
There has been a posting/review stating these bouys currently exist......... they do not.
He also made strange comments about Canadians & Americans that I can not ad hear to.
He was told the truth in a nice helpful manner that what he wanted did not exist anymore.
I wish people would get the facts/history straight 1st then make their posts or at least check out the facts.
We are concerned about public safety so feel the need to answer this very strange post.
