My husband and I were seeking a calm beach experience, but did not like the rocks that were found on many of the caribbean side beaches. I located Winding Bay on the map and read that it was very calm, so down the road we went. The dirt road we found leading to the beach was pretty long, but not... More

After reading some reviews I expected a wonderful beach, but it was basically a disappointment. On the positive side, the beach is situated in a wonderful 270-degrees halfmoon bay which looks quite impressive. However, there was a large amount of seaweed at the beach and a lot of garbage nearby. Also the area is not exactly private as there are... More

Our family of four from Dallas, TX (my husband and I and our two teens) just returned from a truly wonderful week in beautiful Eleuthera. For those who may not have been to Eleuthera before, I thought I would give a little trip report...before we traveled here, I had read posts (and also posted some questions) in this forum and... Eight people, four couples, spent a week at Senga Na Lenga in Winding Bay. Top shelf accommodation. Pristine beach with shallow entry and a sheltered two mile long Bay. Adjacent to Winding Bay is Half Sound. Turtles are abundant. We saw, but did not catch, 4 grouper of about 2.5 feet in length. The Bay is about 15 minutes from... More

We stayed in a property on this beach for 29 days and while we went to several other beaches on the island, this beach is the favorite of our top two. The beach is about 2.15 miles long in a 320 degree arc so no matter which direction the wind is coming from, you can always find a calm area... More

We stayed in a property here for 9 days. Very quiet bay, awesome for kayaking. We saw multiple sea turtles in the cut area as well as a small shark and various fish. There are some weedy bits of the bay itself, but plenty of clear areas for swimming. The beach itself is quite narrow and there is quite a... More

They were everywhere here. Stand still in the water waist deep perfectly still and they will come very close.... So much fun. Lots of turtle grass and shells and urchin shells. Over a mile long so great for a long walk.

THis is not the easiest beach to find, but worth the trip. If you prefer a gentle beach with no waves, you'll love this spot. There's no amenities, so bring whatever you need.

We stayed for one week in a house right on Winding Bay. Great kayaking in the bay and you can easily access Joseph's Cay and the surrounding waters to snorkel. Great treasure hunting on Joseph's Cay.

We rented a house in Winding Bay-the cove was just like a slice of paradise. the water was clean and clear and shades of blues and green. Snorkeling and kayaking was great off the reef.
