This is a hole in the ground. A beautiful hole in the ground filled with beautiful sapphire blue water. As pretty as it is to look at, it was most exciting to watch my daughter jump off the very well built wooden platform. She, at 15 and the most fit of any of us, was the only one with the confidence that she could climb the rope ladder to get back out of the hole.

A highlight for my 14 year old twins. My kids had a blast jumping In Sapphire Hole. They jumped at least 10 times. We came during slow season, the town has been sleepy and they were getting a little bored of hitting beach after beach. This brightened up their day. My husband and I jumped too. Make sure to bring water sandals as the climb back up is rocky. Only do the jump if you are in shape, climbing out requires strength. Lots of mosquitoes so be sure to bring spray. Make sure to use Uncle Robs boating adventures if you charter a boat. Best guides ever!

My crew of 11 (ranging from 14-53) spent about 2 hours at here during one of our days in Eleuthera. We brought sandwiches and relaxed. We jumped several times. It was amazingly beautiful. Easy to find so I wouldn't pay for a tour guide. Its right off Queen's Hwy. I was worried about climbing out but my kids held the top and bottom of the ladder still for me. It wasn't bad - and I don't have much upper body strength. It's worth it. The water is cool and so beautiful. Like everywhere in Eleuthera, BRING BUG REPELLENT!

This is a beautiful spot. Although it is scary jumping in it’s breathtaking once in the water.
The scariest part though is climbing out. The “ladder” is completely broken and you basically have to be a rock climber and use the make shift ropes along the edge to get out. Despite being told that you need “some upper body strength” to climb out it was a struggle for me and others in my family.
This is a serious accident waiting to happen. The government should construct a proper ladder so that people can experience the thrill and beauty of this natural attraction without risking their lives getting out of the hole!

This blue hole has the most beautiful sapphire color. Our teens jumped in and swam. No one felt unsafe. The climb out was a little tough at first but then they figured it out and got up easier. This is worth the visit. It was a lot of fun.

If you are on the North end of the Island, this is a must see. Beautiful setting around the hole. If you want to jump, it's ~35 ft. off the platform, water is cool and more salty than you would expect. For the climb out, it can be a challenge. They have now fashioned a rope ladder on the end of the rope (about 5 rungs) to assist, but you may need someone to brace the bottom. 5 of the 8 in our party made the jump.

Jump is about 30 feet I'm guessing. Very fun and the rope climb up was doable if you are at all physically fit. Several in our group of 7 jumped a couple times. The water is amazingly smooth and silky on your skin.

Beautiful sink hole in the middle of the forest. As the name gives it a way, the hole is sapphire blue in color. You can jump in and swim in it. Truly amazing setting, in crystal clear clean water. The jump is about 20 feet and given the clarity of the water you feel it is much higher. To climb out there is a rope to help you scramble up the sides. Highly recommend water shoes to make the climb out easy. Not recommended for kids or the unathletic as the climb out requires some strength. Location: take a right at the northern end of the Queens Highway towards Preachers Cave. After about 2km there is a sign post and a dirt track on your right. 500m down that track the sink hole will be on your right.

Even if you don’t jump in, it is worth stopping to see. You need to be somewhat athletic to take the plunge because you climb a rope to get out (however, I am over 60 and had no trouble). There was a snorkel mask hanging in the tree; use it to check out the red shrimp that are attached to the walls. Easy to get to... you park right next to it.

I'd heard about this from others on the island and dropped by on the way to Preacher's Cave. This was so cool standing above and seeing down the backside of the wall. Stood there wondering if it was salt or fresh water and found out very quickly after the jump. The climb up wasn't that bad. Highly advise stopping by. Wish I would have brought a mask and snorkel to check out once I was down there.
