We operate adventure tours throughout the entire Island including activities like kayaking, snorkeling, biking, birding, sightseeing, cave diving and blue holes. Hello cattttttttttt, I am sorry to read that you had from what you wrote here, a pretty bad experience. I am also sorry that it has taken me so long to reply to comments made here. Also, i am confused, you booked your tour directly with us, but no email to have me look into what appears to be not a smooth day. Excuse my late response, it has to do with gathering information from 4 drivers and 4 guides separately. Your guide was off sick for a few days and so it prolonged my response. There is a lot here to address here. What i will do is respond to the listed cons, i think they cover pretty well the body of your concerns in your text. I must say, i am surprised by some of these and had to go over multiple times with our safe my line of questioning to ensure i understand from multiple prospective to give a response. Cons: Not on time First pickup which was at 9:15 am. The guide and drivers had their people before 9:15 am. They had 10 people on that tour. The guide was in position to greet his people at 9 am, folks were there a little before 9:15 am meeting time. I was present for the first group and left and present to meet all groups at the restaurant...your vehicle was the only no show. Second pickup was at 10 am (your group), with 16 people. I spoke to your guide Brianna and your driver Lakecia, shortly after i spoke to you. You called about 9:30 am, i told you that you were early and they will not be there to greet you until about 10 am, it was about 9:30 am when you called. The guides/drivers were all in position, but it was too early for them to go into the harbor. A few mins after 10 am, i spoke to Shaunette (dispatcher), she told me she had the people (your group), just waiting for the driver. I called the driver (your group), she said she was going in now. What does this mean "going in now". vehicles entering the harbor has to be called in after a group is organized. This is how the structure at this facility works, which ensures that there is a proper flow of traffic. Once the call is made, the driver is in within 5 minutes. You were organized at 10 am by Shaunette and walked over to an area to wait for your driver by one of our drivers (Lloyd). He said that your party drove away maybe 15 minutes after the meeting time which is 10 am. So you were gone by maybe 10:15 am. Third pickup was at 10:15 am, they had 29 people on that tour. They had two drivers and the first driver pulling out was Lloyd. He said that Lakecia (your driver) left before him. So i am confused, you are saying that you left at 11 am for a 10 am pickup, but the last group slated for a pickup at 10:15 am, the first driver Lloyd said Lakecia (your driver) left ahead of him. This would imply you left around if not before 10:15 am. Not organized You described a lot of wasted time once at the beach. We first allow folks to walk down to the beach, take some photos and put on sunblock. While this is taking place the guide gets equipment organized. People are expected to assist. We are not located on this beach, if we were, then the guide would have just setup on the beach. The guides was in position (our base) from 7:30 am, i know this because i was present. So, if we were located at this beach, the guide would have had plenty time to setup on the beach and wait for your arrival. Instead we are a mobile operator, this means we drive to locations and run tours. Because of this, folks are expected to assist. Brianna (your guide) told me what her day was like, how often she tried being nice to get each group (party of 7 and party of 9) to be involve, to follow instructions. She said one of her holdups was folks took equipment and then return it, so she had to repack stuff. It turnout that that some folks had their own equipment, just wanted to check out ours. Folks not being helpful, please note, i just explained that we are a mobile company, we drive to locations and then operate, this means everyone helps to keep the tour moving. We are a leisure tour company, so we move at leisure, for this reason we operate longer hours than most. The guide said she didn't want to rush anyone or speak harshly to anyone...it is the guide's responsibility to point out time to folks, to control time, this ensures that folks make each stop and return to their ship on time. If folks are not following instructions, it impacts time, which impacts the last stop of the day, lunch. This means lunch is not included into the price it is not a stop we are obligated to. This means we would skip lunch to ensure folks make their drop off back to their ship, due to folks not following instructions. Not everyone get involve, not everyone communicate with the guide. This has an impact on the day, i by the way was speaking on personal experience, but your guide did express some of this. Tour guide didn't check to make sure snorkel gear was put on correctly The guide said, that she was pretty much among the last to walk into the water and that most of you were already swimming about. So, she only assisted folks near her. The guide is there to assist, if given the impression all is well, then all is well. It really sound like there was a communication problem. I need to speak to her more on this and if that is the case, i am sorry. 16 ppl squeezed in a van. Uncomfortable. The van you had was a Toyota Hi-Ace 2015. It seats 15 adult passengers and a very comfortable 15 seater with high ceiling. Because of the size of the seats in that vehicle and that we had a few kids, the kids were to be placed at the back. We had 4 kids which implies every adult would of had his/her own seat. Now the driver may have not done this, this is the only conversation i didn't have with the driver. So, if that didn't happen sorry about that. Also, we had another vehicle there which was a 7 passenger seater Nissan Armada. It is a very comfortable vehicle, the guide was the only person in that vehicle. Did you express your lack of comfort to your guide? Did you ask the guide if a couple of you can ride with her? My only comment here is that it appears that guests didn't feel comfortable speaking with or to the guide. The guide is there to help, we love what we do here, this is why our reviews on trip advisor are so positive. I am sure if there were more communications and this is not just you to the guide, but the guide to you, your experience would have been more. For that i am sorry. I will look into this more with the guide. Everything else in regards to organizational part of the day from the harbor, i was actually by phone involve with, so i am aware of the times.
