One of the best horseback riding experiences by far!! This entire experience far exceeded any expectations we had prior to visiting Pinetree Stables. Linda and Chris both went over and above to really teach us about horses, including how to ride but also how to interact with and treat them. They also took the time to tell us all about the land, the history of the area, and the wildlife surrounding the trails we went riding through. They were so very kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. My husband and I would both HIGHLY recommend horseback riding at Pinetree Stables to anyone who wants an amazing experience you will remember for years to come. If we ever venture back to the Bahamas, we definitely plan to visit Pinetree Stables again!

I wanted to do this attraction so badly. My kids and I just returned from Freeport on the 8th of Feb. And whether it's here online, or there in Freeport itself, this stable is known to be amazing and extremely reputable. Tried going on a Monday with a local but they were closed and ultimately decided it was too expensive. I'm mainly writing this to say factor in the cost before you go especially if this is a bucket list place. It costs 165 USD per person. SO expensive. And if you've not taken out enough Bahamian or USD dollars and you are Canadian... you only get 66 cents on the dollar in Freeport. SO plan ahead like I didn't do. 🙃 Next time!

The tour was absolutely fantastic! Our guides (Linda and Chris) were amazing … responsive, professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. We had our two teenage boys with us and Linda and Chris really made us all feel comfortable on the horses (none of us have ridden before) and shared so much insight about the Bahamas. I would absolutely recommend this tour and the photos they sent us after the tour were spectacular! Thank you Linda and Chris!

One of the best eco tours I have ever been on.
Chris and Linda were super informative and the ride was two hours while totally immersed in the thick brush of nature. Upon seeing the beach it was awe inspiring and we took our time trudging along in the shallows of the water. Horses were totally bomb proof and well cared for.

Don’t forget to bring sneakers/ non open to shoes, you WILL need them.

Our guides Linda and Chris are a gem on this beautiful island. They were both very knowledgeable about the vegetation throughout the woods and the history of the island. It was actually pretty impressive everything they were able to tell us. Their love for their horses shows through as soon as you meet them. We have been on many horseback riding adventures and have never seen the owners care about the horses the way they do. Going from the woods into the ocean was amazing. I forgot our horses names, which I feel bad about but they were great. Thanks again Kristin!

My ride at Pinetree Stables was more beautiful than I imagined. I grew up in Grand Bahama and I got to see my island from a different point of view (the back of a gorgeous Palomino!) As we rode through the pine forest, our guide Chris shared knowledge of native plants, explained various elements of Bahamian history and kept us engaged in wonderful conversation. My year started with a little bit of adventure, a gorgeous expanse of beach and bonding time with a magnificent creature. Proprietor Linda was kind and charming, with an obvious (and inspiring) passion for her horses. God's will, I'll be a regular. The pinnacle of the experience for me was towards the end of the ride when Linda commended my gentle guidance of Caramia (the horse I had the pleasure of riding) back towards the barn. It was like Caramia said: "you finally get me" and in that moment, everything else that was on my soul kind of melted away. A big thank you to everyone that made this ride possible.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish!

When booking, Linda responded to my inquiry right away and we set up a time and a date very easily.

When arriving at the barn, we were greeted by several adorable kitties who were very friendly. It was fun to pet the kitties as Linda and Chris got the horses ready.

The horses are lovely and know their jobs very well. They are beautifully trained and clearly well loved and cared for.

I am an experienced rider, but my boyfriend is not and was apprehensive at first. Chris was extremely helpful and kind and made him feel comfortable on the horse.

The actual ride was incredible - we traveled through a trail where Linda shared a lot of knowledge and history about the ecosystem and much more. We got to ride on the beach and waded into the water on the horses which was an amazing experience. All along the ride, Chris was taking photographs of us which came out great and they were emailed to us shortly after we left. They also provided complimentary water bottles to us.

This was an amazing experience and I would it recommend to anybody - whether you are an equestrian or not. Linda and Chris are great and really experts at what they do.

I had a wonderful ride with Linda and Chris! I have ridden for years and I have always wanted to ride on a beach! I appreciated that they offered helmets! Not all trail riding places do and I always feel safer wearing a helmet!

Linda and Chris were so knowledgeable about Freeport and the ecosystems here. The horses are wonderful Andy so well taken care of. I love Linda's training philosophy and the fact that her horses are bred, raised and retired here! They are well loved. They also run a feral cat rescue and the cats are lovingly taken care of.

Unfortunately my ride was cut short due to weather, but Linda and Chris left me at the beach with a lovely woman with a straw market stall. Linda wanted to make sure I was safe, while they raced the horses back to the barn. She kept me dry, while I waited for the private bus to pick me up and take
me back to the barn. It really was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend Pinetree Stables if you are looking for a great horseback trail ride in The Bahamas.

Thanks so much for leaving this review We truly appreciate it. I’m glad you opted to end the ride on the beach as the weather was atrocious on the ride home

Our horseback riding eco-tour was the highlight of our recent trip to Freeport. Linda and Chris are so very knowledgeable about the plants and topography, history and culture of Grand Bahama Island. We learned so much during our two hour ride. Linda and Chris' love for their animals (horses, cats and dogs) is evident and appreciated since I'm an animal lover myself. Other reviewers have commented on the cost but we thought it was well worth the money. It was a full two-hour tour with a lot of information and only two of us, so basically, it was a personal tour. The photos that Chris took were awesome and captured our pleasant experience. We got them within an hour of the completion of our tour. Transportation is provided with the fee. I have no hesitation recommending this activity while in Freeport!

This was one of our favorite experiences while visiting Freeport, Bahamas. A MUST DO. Chris and Linda were the ultimate guides. Not only do you get to walk through the luxurious green areas of Freeport, AS WELL AS the beach (our favorite), you also get to see other things along the way such as coopers castle and hear about the history of Freeport. Both guides were awesome and we highly recommend! They also take beautiful pictures along the way. Recommend doing this at the start of your trip (wish we would have) as they are so kind and have an abundance of knowledge of what to do on the island.
