The water is stunning! The beach was pretty quiet and there are options available to jet ski or to play on the water playground. There are a few restaurant and bar choices. This is definitely a nice place to visit if you have some free time while in Freeport/or on a cruise. They are recovering from some damage from Hurricane... More

There are a lot better beaches in the Bahamas, Lycaya Beach (not to mention Gold Rock Beach) are nicer. However, this beach is pleasant and a nice stop. It's an easy taxi ride to get here, and there are a lot of amenities for cheap including chairs and umbrellas. There was a stand nearby serving drinks in fresh coconuts that... More

What a nice surprise of a beach, free beach lounge chairs, place is still recovering from the hurricane last fall, but the beach was clean, there was a nice restaurant that served good food and drinks if you wanted something. The water was clean and it was not crowded.

The beach isn't full of rocks or shells. The water is beautiful. The area is peaceful and there is an oceanfront restaurant--Taino by the Sea--just steps away offers very tasty dishes.

Our taxi driver told us Taino was hands down the best beach in the area, and so since we'd already read several great reviews, we went. The water was blue-green and cold, but once you got in, your body temp adjusted and it was fine. I don't recall the name of the tiki bar there, but they charged a $3... More

Pleasant beach, free access, there is a free ferry from Port lucaya. The service on the beach is very good, lots of water sports activities, or just lezarding on the beach. Great for children from toddlers to 99. Food is also surprisingly great. Drinks and food are at a fair prices. Perfect place for a day under the sun.

Instead of doing an excursion, we spent the few hours we had on Taino relaxing, enjoying the view, beach and drinks at the Tiki bar. They also have water sports toys if you want to rent. Taino was perfect.

This is the beach that was the shuttle drop-off for our timeshare. The water was very pretty but there is still a lot of trash from the hurricane in October 2016. Many of the large resorts and all of the casinos are closed. Many of the US Florida panhandle beaches are much prettier. Because of the lack of clean up,... More

The beach itself is wonderful. Clear water and smooth sand. It was recovering still from a hurricane when we were there was still nice. Lounge chairs all along the beach. If you are going to the Bahama Adventures or using Lucaya water sports, a definite must for the whole family. Average age of people enjoying the beach only were a... More

Beach was nice. Had plenty of amenities (bar, activities to rent or pay for). Locals are very nice. Chairs are available for 2/$15. Lots to walk up and down the beach and explore. $7 cab ride each way, each person after you port.
