Beautiful forgotten beach

Love this beach out of the tourist areas great to find shells and explore the shore! It's unfortunate that they have not rebuilt the areas and hotels around it.

We caught a small shuttle over to Xanadu Beach from our inland hotel. The shuttle was hot, windows down, and it ran on "island time", which means, you sit and wait and it comes when it comes. That is all part of the island experience though, and our short excursion to Xanadu was a great start to a hot, sunny,... More

Nice quite beach where we feel safe and have a lot of privacy. Our "go to", beach only 1 mile from home. Just enough people around to feel safe yet have space.

Xanadu Beach is a quiet beach with absolutely no amenities. The good thing is you will not likely encounter anybody else on this beach, the downside is...if you need a bar and somebody playing music around you then this is not the spot for you. The beach is relatively clean for a public beach with no amenities. The water clean... More

if you don't want crowds and do want a protected beach, this is where the locals go to relax....protected and shallow

We rented a condo near this beach for a week, and went nearly every day. Beautiful clear water and white sand, can see coral and small fish easily. Can walk out into the water over 50 feet and not be over your knees during the lower part of the tides. No services except at the Mayfair timeshares. We had NO... More

Years ago this beach was hopping. Now it is dirty and deserted and hard to access. You have to walk through bushes to get there.

We heard about this beach from reviews on Tripadvisor and are so glad we came! This is off the beaten path, and I'd recommend that you google map it and download the map if you are driving here so you don't get on the wrong street. The beach is scantly populated, we only saw a few other local Bahamians going... More

One of my favorite places in the entire world. a real hidden gem. There can be peddlers on the beach sometimes, but they are not that pushy.
