I have been to the Mandara Spa on many occasions and was very disappointed by my visit. My husband and I had a couples massage and the therapist were on their cell phones for a significant amount of time while we were on our stomachs especially why they massages our feet multiple times which was not where we asked them to focus. And, now have a blister on the bottom of my foot from hot stone or oil that was used when treating my foot. She was only using one hand because that other was being used for her phone. And she burned my foot because she wasn’t moving in he stone and oil around. The other therapist didn’t turn her phone down so as she was scrolling a video went off very loudly. I was very disappointed in our service and next time will stop the service and ask for the manager immediately. Also, they had us pay prior to service this time which we have not done in the past. And, I will not do that again. It is a shame because I have always enjoyed this spa.

My boyfriend and daughter booked a massage for me for my birthday. It began nicely with a tour of the spa. I decided to soak in the hot tub for a bit and then was going to use the steam room, but it was out of order. I settled for the sauna. When the time for my massage went by, I went to the front desk to check if someone had come to get me while I was in the sauna. I was told that someone would be right down for me. I was brought up to my room and asked to get under the sheet and lay face down. What seemed like an obnoxiously long time later, she back back in. A door was loudly opened which I assumed was a closet. Then something very loudly was being opened that sounded like crinkling. I found it very odd that this setup was not done before bringing me into the room. My massage came with a paraffin wrap and I think that maybe she was getting this ready, but it went on for a bit with me laying face down and crinkling and no talking. I was a little perplexed and uncomfortable. So, the first 15 minutes of my expensive massage was an annoying waste of time. The massage itself was relaxing and I enjoyed it once it got started.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We're so sorry that the treatment room was not set up prior to you entering and that the noise and delay caused by the paraffin wrap set up was annoying. Our therapist should have apologized for the delay and explained the procedure while you waited. We're glad to learn that your massage was relaxing and that you enjoyed the service once it got started. We do hope that you'll visit us again. Namaste Mandara Spa at Atlantis

Once checking in, I undressed, put on my robe and searched for a place to relax and enjoy the spa, however the very few places to sit were occupied and very close to each other. I looked around and decided to ask if "where is the rest of the spa"? and I asked, "where is your hot tub"? The attendant said, "Oh, this is it". I was so disappointed in the facility. It's dark, dank and depressing. The so called "hot tub" is just a pool of cool to luke warm water. I decided after a few minutes to get dressed and exit. I asked for a credit to my account and they quickly did so. In actuality, this is really not a bonified "Spa". If you've ever been to Miami and gone to the Fountainbleau Spa, you'd know exactly what I'm talking about because THAT is a spa. I was so shocked especially after this huge place of Atlantis spending so much time and thoughtfulness on plants, water features and hotel towers, activities, casino and aquariums you'd think great care would have gone into an amazing spa facility, a total respite and relaxation spot for guests. Don't waste your money here.

Sooo it’s Mother’s Day and I booked myself and my daughter deep tissue massages, her a facial and me a seaweed wrap.. my fighters masseuse was soooo nice!!! Sandra!!! However when she introduced me to mine I never even got her name. Then my daughters masseuse said see you at 5:40 and mine said no 5:30. Hum.. I felt beyond rushed for my supposed 100 min service!! Then my deep tissue was not even a massage it was slightly just gently running her hands over me and talking more then massaging which she was nice but not what a deep tissue should be? Then my seaweed wrap was done faster then anything I’ve ever seen. All in all once we got downstairs to lockers we couldn’t enjoy Anything as we where told they closed. I felt so rushed and I’ve been to Mandara plenty of times. And here at this one I wasn’t offered water or anything. Just a feeling of rushed and it wasn’t what I’ve experienced at the California Mandara.. I’m super disappointed. I don’t think I would go back here.

We were two couples in our 50's traveling to the Atlantis Resort Bahamas in March 2021. We booked massages at the Madera Spa on the property using a coupon code they have online to get 25% off. The massage was fantastic, the staff was warm and friendly, professional and good at their job. Thanks, Melinda, for a GREAT massage. The facilities were nice. There is a sauna, steam room, heated plunge pool (there were jets in the wall of the plunge pool but they don’t work) so they call it a plunge pool, and a relaxation area in the men’s area with TV. There were locker and shower facilities as well. There were similar facilities in the women’s area as well but instead of a tv lounge there was a aroma therapy relaxation room.

To begin with...I spent 700$ for a 50 minute massage and a pedicure.
From the beginning the services were rushed!!!! 700$ should be top notch services. The facilities are dated, falling apart, and just plain dirty. In the men’s room half of the lockers don’t work, the steam room was barely steamy, the air vents if you look up to the ceiling are absolutely disgusting. The chairs for the pedicures are not comfortable and falling apart. I was asked if I wanted a complimentary service that I was charged for. Not sure she understood what that word means. I have traveled the world and have been to some really exclusive spas. This one is at best 2 stars. I will never visit this place Again. Overall I feel like I was robbed for 700$. Hopefully others will make the same observations and they can fix this.

I loved it today on February 1, 2020. I had Ernestine and my 80 minute massage was excellent! Her precise, thorough, medium pressure, all body massage relaxed EVERY vertebrae in my body! The price was average for massages but the foot massage with parrafin wax was soothing and super relaxing! The room was inviting, comfy, and clean. I do reviews of spaces on Youtube as Jeannie Jones Spagirl and I have never had warm water bags layer on my middle back before but this custom massage even came with aromatherapy. I recommend Mandarin spa but I suggest they provide healthy snacks in each tea area to complete the spa. All 5 star spas have free, healthy, snacks next to their tea and water.

I know it's not fully Winter yet, however, some of my colleagues and I really needed to destress. Paradise Island was wonderful. It offers enough different activities to keep everyone happy. I myself, truly needed and thoroughly enjoyed the spa. A good and relaxing time was had by all. Clean, friendly, great food and surroundings. Most of us stayed within the resort areas, we really just wanted to relax. I do recommend travelers to know their budgets, for all their travels. Have a great time and those wonderful tropical fruit cocktails are delicious! Be responsible. 🍹⛵

This is my second time going to madara spa at Atlantis. My first visit was 5 years ago and remembering how great it was back then I returned expecting the same thing. First, the prices definitely went up but I assumed they would have better service. However, when my mother and I arrived at the spa, I was already disappointed because they messed up our appointment. I scheduled a 80 minute Balinese massage and my mother a 75 minute lift facial but when I got there they said I have scheduled a 50 minute facial and a 80 min massage. They took no responsibility saying they did not know who took the reservations and that there was nothing they could do for us. Despite the mess up with the reservations we still went on with our massage. My Balinese massage... my masseuse looked very tired from the beginning, yawning the entire time but as long as she gave me a good massage I didn’t care and totally understood that she could be tired. But I really think she fell asleep here and there because there were times when I felt no movements for a good couple of minutes. They tell you to write down areas you want your masseuse to focus on so I wrote down my shoulders and back area but she sat down and literally just touched. Not massage. touched/held(placed hand) on my feet for almost the entire time. I don’t recall writing down foot on the paper and I would’ve honestly gotten a foot massage then and that probably would have been better and cheaper! She definitely didn’t seem as if she wanted to be there and I did not appreciate it with the price I was paying. The massage was 80 minutes but this included getting ready and the whole ordeal with our appointment screw up, prepping and etc. The massage itself was probably not even 50 minutes. So my mom getting the 50 minutes facial after their screw up, minus the getting ready and etc was probably about 20~30 minutes. So according to her, her masseuse literally just cleaned her face with some hot towels, put some lotions on her, and put those things that hook over the ears to pull on her chin for less than 20 minutes and her treatment was done. This was for $150+. It wasn’t even what the description of the treatment was. She mentioned she probably could have done a better job at home by herself. I agree. So after paying almost $400 for our massages I was left unsatisfied, not relaxed and full of regret for returning. Such a waste of money. I have gotten many massages and have gotten bad ones before as well but this was by far one of the worst I have gotten especially for the price. At least the other bad massages I’ve received before wasn’t this overpriced. The masseuses were not professional and I definitely will not be returning.
