I can't remember the name of the resort, but Cable beach is a private beach of the resort. We caught the 10 bus over to the beach and had to go through the hotel to get to the beach. That should have been a dead giveaway right there, but in the reviews we read, no one mentioned it being exclusive.... More

Beautiful Beach! Free of panhandlers and locals hassling you. It is clean water with no trash. Sand is white and perfect

We were at this beach 35 years ago and we surprised this time at the changes. We had snorkeled here before and had seen numerous fish, this time none! There were no shells on the beach, only rocks, and the beach was covered with brown sea weed.

Lovely beach area. Powder white sand and turquoise waters. Melia and Breezes resorts are open....all others between are closed.

This is a beautiful spot for walking and catching some solitude. The water in February is warm enough but rough for swimming.

White sand, amazing turquoise water. The stretch we were on was not very long. Not the best spot for long walks one the beach.

We read many reviews on Tripadvisor and tried to get to the beach after being dropped off from taxi at the Melia Hotel. You cannot enter the beach from the hotel....the security staff have you either purchase a day pass or tell you to walk to the public beach entrance. It was crowded and no amenities for folks who haven't... More

The sand here is wonderful, but the beach itself is fairly small. My husband and I hoped to run along it, but the rocky shore on one side, and Sandal's resort on the other side, made that a bit difficult. Also not a lot of sun in the afternoon due to tall trees.

We stayed in an area where Cable Beach was a private beach. The water was so gorgeous. We were able to walk the beach morning or evening. The weather was perfect.

You're in the Bahamas, love the beach! Even though there was one day of cruddy weather, the rest of the time it was nice. Lots of water activity.
