We spent a few hours with Will sampling delicious food, drinks, and some historical information during our port stop in Nassau. I cannot imagine a more perfect way to have spent our first trip to the island, and would absolutely love to learn and sample more with TBFT when we return!

We came to Nassau on 10/07/21 for the day on board the Oasis of the Seas. Most of our group had been to Nassau before and almost did not get off the ship until I discovered this tour a few weeks prior to our departure. We had done walking food tours on other vacations and decided to give the Bites of Nassau Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour a try. We are SO glad we did. Our tourguide Princess (we all thought her name appropriate considering we were cruising Royal), met us in Rawson Square. We were all a little early so we hung out with her and talked a while before we headed to our first stop. On our tour we got to try six different food items. We also opted to add the drink package, so we had drinks at most of the stops. The first stop was Bahamian Cookin' and OMG! our first course was conch fritters followed quickly an authentic Bahamian meal including chicken, mac and cheese and slaw. It was all awesome. From there we got Conch Chowder from a Greek Restaurant right down the street. This was some of the best Conch Chowder I have ever had in my life! We then headed to Greycliff for a taste of chocolate (yummy)! Our next stop was for a conch slider and a Sky juice (which I did not expect to like but did). Then it was on to the Towne Hotel for a yummy rum drink. Our last stop was supposed to be the Tortuga Rum Cake Store, but since the store was not yet open (lots of things are currently still closed due to covid), Princess gave us a sample of rum cake as we arrived at the end of our tour in Pompey Square. The whole tour was about 3 - 3.5 hours long. A great sampling of the Bahamas food and history. The food was amazing, the history lesson was awesome and Princess was great! She was easy going, easy to talk, knowledgeable (even when we asked random questions) and engaging. I would definitely recommend this tour even if you have been to Nassau before as it is a new way to look at the city.

I wanted to start this review by saying this company is amazing. We were having a hard time finding parking, and they called us to make sure we were still coming. When we told them we were having a hard time with parking, they tried to help us find some. They also sent us a text showing where we were supposed to meet, and the first food location in case we missed our meeting time. They even followed up with a text making sure we found our group. Besides the company being wonderful, this tour was amazing! We were able to try six different items, the first one being a really delicious, authentic Bahamian meal and conch fritters. (I highly recommend you come on a somewhat empty stomach. We did not, so we were not able to finish everything). We then were able to try some Greek food, followed by some chocolate, a conch slider, a yummy drink, and then we finished up with a sample of rum cake. This company is great with accommodating allergies, and people who do not drink alcohol. There are also a ton of bathroom breaks - almost a bathroom at each stop. Each location also provides you bottled ice water, which was great! Although the food was amazing, the highlight of this trip was LISA!!! Lisa really made our tour one to remember. She was incredibly charismatic and funny, and she took the time get to know us and remember our names. There were some instances when there was not a lot of talking amongst the group, and Lisa kept the conversation going. Lisa is also very knowledgeable about the history of the Bahamas, and is able to explain it in such a clear and concise way. This tour would not have been as fun or memorable without her. I HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone thinking about going!
