Cigar Rolling with Rum tasting at the Graycliff Cigar Company. Learn how to...

Cigar Rolling with Rum tasting at the Graycliff Cigar Company. Learn how to sort, clean, store and roll a cigar – at the Graycliff Cigar Company, you can become a torcedore in a few hours. The lesson begins with the history of tobacco, where the best leaves come from, and why you blend certain leaves together to make the award winning Graycliff cigars. Once you’ve mastered the art, you’ll sample a variety of world renowned rums from the Bahamas’s own Bacardi to other Caribbean rums - Mount Gay and Barbacourt, and many more. The Graycliff Cigar Company began production in January 1997 in Nassau, The Bahamas. What then began as a single roller in the restaurant entrance way has now expanded to an award winning boutique Cigar Company with 16 master rollers, each an expert in their various format.

I knew that there was a cigar factory on the Island and I had to go. This place is not anywhere near the tourist locations so be very careful when you are trying to find this place. Once you find this place it is amazing. It is in the back of a resort that is beautiful. The cigar factory is... More

Having been to Nassau several times, we were prepared to stay on the ship and skip the tourist trap craziness. However, I happened upon a review of Graycliff when looking for something 'self guided ' and it sounded intriguing...and close to the port, plus air conditioned. Perfect! It could not have been a better afternoon. I almost hate to review... More

We were there in port form a cruise and rather than do the touristy stuff we wandered off to the Cigar Factory. My boyfriend is a huge cigar smoker and when I researched what to do when we got on the island I knew we had to go. It is about a half mile walk from the port of call... More

I didn't do the tour just brought a few cigars and sat by the pool, smoked a cigar, had few drinks and order lunch. An excellent way to spend the afternoon.

You will see every step it takes to make a quality cigar. From the selection of the leaves to the trimming of the finished cigar. Very informative. The toreadors (rollers) are trained in Cuba for 10 plus years before being hired. These are some of the finest cigars in the world.

Definitely fun to check this out. With Cuba opening up, though, the Cigar rolling may get old. Class joint though, with nice people and great cigars. On the rum piece, the Watlings Distillery is around the corner and definitely a must do and a better pairing with the Cigs. But highly recommend.

We visited the cigar factory while we were on the Graycliff grounds. We watched as others rolled their own cigars and saw master cigar rollers at work.

We took the Cigar and Chocolate Tour. No rum involved.Great history of tobacco and cigar making. Letter from Bill Clinton on the wall thanking the owner for his cigars where he "Put them to good use." I about chocked when I read that. One free cigar at end of tour

The most amazing part of our trip was visiting and paying to roll our own cigars. Just the tour alone was so informative but to get the hands on training from some of the best cigar rollers in the world (each had to train at least 10 years in Cuba before being hired) was very special.

an interesting afternoon: a good pizza in the beer garden of the Gray Hill hotel, followed by a short tour of the cigar factory (a small room with about 10 "rollers") where everything is hand made and top quality, a quick run through the equally artisan small chocolate factory and finally a short tour through the nearby Watlin distillery; they...
