I had 14 dives with Stuart Cove’s. Despite the pandemic they remain friendly, professional, and world class in marine life: nurse sharks, reef sharks, sea turtles, rays, and in one day 50+ species of fish depending on how closely you look. I saw sharks every day and saw sea turtles and rays on about a third of my dives (a lot!). Stuart Cove’s treated me like royalty. The one star reviews mentioning short dives of 35 min is a risk of any group dive: you have to surface as a group when the first person runs out of air. 12 of 14 of my dives were 50-55 min unless I or someone else ran out early, and those 2 dives were still 45 min. I did my open water ePADI course online, then did everything else at Stuart Cove’s in 3 days (confined water on one day, two days for the 4 open water dives). Then I did several two-tank days and the shark adventure, which is the closest in your life that you will get to 3-6 ft reef sharks and nurse sharks - certainly within an arm’s reach (don’t pet, they’re wild animals but are harmless unless they feel threatened). I did my Nitrox certification- definitely the first follow up course you should do because it extends your bottom time, is safer in the dives you’ll be doing, and are less tired from diving (at least for me, the additional oxygen leads to less fatigue after diving). The only area of improvement for Stuart’s would be they could be more organized on scheduling, but is not more abnormal than the typical “island time” elsewhere. If you are in the lucky position of being able to travel during the pandemic, take advantage of Stuart Cove’s full attention and royalty treatment. Enjoy our reefs before climate change (us) destroys them.

Booked a morning dive to the blue hole and reef, due to weather we were redirected to two different dive sites instead. Initially disappointing but understandable given the conditions. Bus was ~40 min late to hotel for pick up which made us nervous about missing the dive, but once at the shop things went smoothly. Dive masters knowledgeable and pointed out rays, crabs and sharks. Rental gear in good condition. Several reef shark sightings on both dives

We were in Nassau just for the weekend and booked a diving trip with them. So they tell me they will pick me up at my hotel at 1:00 PM. At around 1:20 I called them and asked them if they were still picking me up. They said yes, just running a bit late. So I am it’s ok, things happen. At 2:00 PM I called again and the lady on the phone gives me a huge attitude. At this point I asked to cancel and she gets mad and hangs up on me. I should have known better. They were really bad at responding to my emails before I got to Nassau trying to book a diving trip. And from reading other reviews they lack a sense of safety on their diving trips. And obviously, horrific customer service.

Husband took scuba trip with them the day prior so we booked them for our snorkel trip. The crew was so friendly and helpful and our experience was great. We saw so many things! The only drawback is they were running late due to car problems and were 45 minutes late picking everyone up at their hotel. We still had the full snorkel experience but do think it would be great if they sent text messages or call to say they were running late.

Bahama Divers offers a low key snorkel trip in the afternoon. They will pick you up at your hotel, take you out to a snorkel site, you’ll snorkel around for an hour or so, then they will bring you back to shore and finally drive you back to your hotel. No alcohol is allowed on the boat a good thing as vacationers could be very accident prone if inebriated. We liked it very much. The staff was helpful and caring without being in your face.
