We built our vacation around the Exuma excursion because we couldn’t find available rooms at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club. We had been looking forward to this excursion for weeks. We opted to go with Island Treasure Hunt because it was advertised as giving us more time on location in Exuma. That was wrong. The flight down was over an hour late leaving. The flight back was an hour late leaving, and as you know, we were bumped from the first flight because there were not enough seats. We spent more time hanging around airports than on the excursion itself. We enjoyed the sites on the tour. However, we felt our captain was just “checking the boxes” vs trying to make our experience more enjoyable. At our first stop, he said to my wife (while I was in the water) that we might need to go back to the airport to pick up two other people. She said we were told that we were supposed to be the only people on our boat. Ultimately, we did not go back. He never offered us drinks and just seemed to be going through the motions. We finished the last stop around 2. Knowing that we got a late start and that our return flight wasn’t until 4:30, we asked him if there was somewhere else we could go. He said, “We’ve done everything on the schedule.” We did get him to stop at a plane wreck so we could snorkel for a few minutes, but we felt rushed. He even asked us if we wanted to try to catch an earlier flight. When I met him, I told him that I had been waiting to go to Exuma my whole life. Do you think I wanted to take an earlier flight back? We felt rushed and a little cheated. We learned that he had to get back so he could go to his next job at the yacht club. He dropped us on the beach, and we walked back to the airport (our choice). Then, we waited over two hours to leave. Exuma was beautiful, but the excursion was absolutely not worth the $2000. We paid a luxury price and got basic to very poor level service. Extremely disappointing.

Review of: Swimming Pigs
They were great from start to finish! Had a driver pick us up from our hotel at Atlantis, took us to the airport, walked us in to get our flight tickets, and we were on our way! Right when we landed, another person greeted us at the Staniel Cay airport and we walked right onto the boat from there. The tour and staff were amazing! I’m glad I went with them because it was a complete package including your 40 minute flight from Nassau to Exuma. Would definitely use them to go back again!!

I contacted the Treasure Hunt team with help of concierge at SLS Baha Mar after my original swimming pigs tour was Cancelled last minute due to water conditions. So happy they were able to give me last minute availability for my birthday trip and I'm glad it happened the way it did. My boyfriend and I were picked up from hotel by van and took charter plane. We had a small group so visits with pigs, iguanas and sharks were intimate and special. The guide was kind and knowledgable. Pretty much was just us at each location no crowds and he gave us lots of time to take pictures. I would recommend it to anyone.

Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide and experience we still cannot stop talking about it. Thank you for your hospitality and making this a truly unforgettable experience.
