So the fort was nice, if this is your first time here just do it since it's only $2. A guy at the top explains some history but it's nothing special. Views were decent as well. They sort of try to keep it clean with a broom but overall a lot of dirt and the inside of the fort has... More

Entrance fee was $1.08. I dont understand why they wont just make it and even dollar. The fort is small and you can see down to the cruise ships but thats about it.

Fort Fincastle was a stop on a tour we took. We were given a short (10 minute) tour by a guide at the fort and taken to the top, where the views of Nassau are lovely.

Breathtaking view of the shore. Standing in the mist of history and the battle of independence is amazing

It is a really nice place to explore. There is another staircase below the fort that is easier to walk up than the Queen's staircase. There is a large tree there with benches beneath it that is great for taking a break from the heat. There is a nice breeze there as well that will cool you off. Go inside... More

From the outside it is not that pretty but the historical significance is there.. this is probably one of the best places on the island to take pictures as it is on top of the island with 360 degree views that are gorgeous, My wife and I walked to the fort from the cruise port in about 25 minutes and... A good view from the fort of Nassua. Stalls with souvenirs near by and the queens stairs only 100mts away.

This was one of the stops on our sightseeing tour of Nassau. It is a small fort with narrow passageways and stairs to get to the top level. There are jail cells which people can enter and take photos, as well as a cutout of a soldier on the 1st level where people can stand behind and take photos. The... More

$1.08 to go "in". Literally there are two small cellars to see, one with some info and the other is empty. We did not have a guide. Walked to the second floor top and get to see the island from atop. Great view. But nothing spectacular. At least have some people dress up as guards or pirates or even local... More

A shame such great landmarks aren't better preserved. We were excited to visit the fort, but found it unkept with very little information posted.
