Review of: Da Conchin Tour
I ended up in Nassau for 3 days on an unexpected business trip. To get the most out of it I made a plan for my 2 leisure days. At the recommendation of the hotel I booked the 3.5 hour food tour and planed my remaining time around it. About an 1.5 hours before the tour was canceled due to insufficient registrations. No alternative was offered. Needless to say that I am very disappointed. That possibility should have been pointed out when I made the reservation at 9:00 am.

Arthur was a fabulous guide; very knowledgeable of Nassau history, customs, and traditions. His choices for food tasting were well planned and gratefully appreciated. We did have considerable difficulty in finding the meeting point. The instruction listed an address on Charlotte St. We could find no one in the neighborhood who knew of the tour. After searching and then speaking to shop keepers and port security personnel, we found a taxi driver who made a phone call to Arthur. He recommended Arthur should remain in place and the taxi driver gave us instructions to reach the tour on a parallel street. It was worth the hassle.

We took this tour with a group of folks and had a wonderful time. We had 4 stops and sampled true Bohemian cuisine! We stopped at 2 restaurants, the oldest candy manufacturer on the island and a wonderful tea shop!

In search of something different to do for a birthday celebration I came across island food tours on Instagram. It looked rather interesting and after experiencing it I can honestly say they did not disappoint. Each moment between arrival and departure was a memorable one. At every stop our food and drinks were provided promptly. The tour ride was entertaining as we played trivia games and learned about the history of brunch. I had such a great time I’ll certainly do it again. Ps. Our tour guide MB was very hospitable and funny lol.
