Best to go early in the morning or late afternoon. Beach is gorgeous and snorkeling is good out near Cay or America's Point if the water isn't too rough. Day visitors come in from about 10-4 and it can get difficult to get a shady spot. Sun is very hot here - use sunscreen!!

Really nice beach, but it gets a bit crowded. Nice cafe. We didn't see any bbq pits you could use. The camp site and bungalows look so depressing.... arrive early to get a parking spot

Cinnamon Bay has always been our favorite beach on St. John, but this year we found rough surf the first day we visited. The beach was almost totally covered by the water so we headed to Maho instead. Returned to Cinnamon the next day & conditions were greatly improved. Enjoyed a wonderful day sunning & swimming. We love the calm... More

We ended up at Cinnamon Bay since the snorkeling at Trunk Bay was closed due to high waves. Beautiful beach.

Great beach! Walked around the campground, very cool. We love to camp and would definitely consider this area. Beach was great for the surfers the day we were there.

It was our first time to St John and we did some beach hopping today and have to say Cinnamon Bay was our favorite! Looking to the left you see homes in the hill and when you look to the right you see bay full of sailboats. And staight out, sea and beautiful sea! There was a very small rocky... More

We brought chairs, coolers and snacks. Stayed for the day. A couple of us snorkeling around the small island in the cove. Pretty fish, some live coral we enjoyed the adventure of going around the backside of the island. The rest of the group loved bobbing in the water, visiting and having a painkiller. The restrooms are an added bonus.... More

We came here with a newborn and 2-year old. The waves were too big and strong from either of them to even get in the water. The surfers seemed to be having a good time though. For our young family it was a poor choice, but for adults or families with older kids it could be fun as other beaches... More

This beach has camping, cottage rentals, a restaurant and rentals of paddle boards, kayaks and snorkel gear, all tucked in the woods as you walk down from the parking lot to the beach. The sand is perfect and the waves are gentle. Good beginner snorkeling too. We went to far right side and snorkeled over to another little beach past... More

We took a taxi from the ferry dock to Cinnamon Bay to spend the day. We rented chairs and set up a cozy spot with shade and sun both. Walked back up the path to use the restrooms (they have showers and a foot rinse faucet, too) and order lunch in the lovely open-air pavilion. Had the best Lime in... More
