Overview
More
The good news: this world-class stretch of white sand and turquoise water is St. John's most photographed beach, which features a marked underwater trail for beginning snorkelers. The bad news: because of its popularity, it can get very crowded with cruise ship passengers and members of sightseeing tours.

I'm sure this was the place to go at some point. It was a lot nicer when we first went 6 years ago. The coral now is almost completely dead and the fish are basic fish you can pretty much see anywhere. The "famous" coral...More

Beautiful seems like a major understatement for Trunk Bay. This may be the nicest beach we've seen in the Caribbean. Snorkeling, sand, shade and great facilities abound. Food and items for rent (snorkel gear, chairs etc) at reasonable prices. We could have stayed here for...More

Came here 15 years ago. It was packed. Today, I was early and had a very different experience as it is slow season. Full facilities including restrooms with running water, showers, picnic tables, food, ect. Plenty of parking. If not busy, you can hear all...More

The most beautiful beach you will ever step foot on! It is a great location for first time snorkelers to learn how to snorkel. There is an underwater snorkeling trail that you can follow while looking at sea turtles and colorful fish. The sand is...More

First of all, Trunk Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Also, it's a great place for beginner snorkelers because the underwater trail is marked with buoys and signs describing what you might see. Experienced snorkelers will love swimming further around...More

We spent a full day on Trunk Bay Beach. We arrived around 9:00 AM, got a spot on the East End and had a great day. We were there on a Wednesday when there were 3 ships in port in St. Thomas. The cruise ship...More

Trunk Bay was another average beach with a snorkel trail. We saw stingrays and they came almost right up to the beach, but that wasn't on the snorkel trail, that was just the stingrays doing their own thing. The little island by the snorkel trail...More

We took our 7 and 8-year old kids to Trunk Bay for their first snorkeling experience and it was great! The water is crystal clear and turquoise and calm. Bring your zinc oxide and rashguards though, or you're sure to get a sunburn.

One of the busier bays, but always beautiful. The underwater snorkeling guides are great, the beach plenty long for spreading out.

The beach is beautiful and great for children - good facilities and very easy, safe access to fun, shallow water. Can be very crowded when cruise ship passengers come over from St. Thomas. Famous snorkeling trail is showing its age and not very good to...More

I believe the lockers are about about $5. They are not real big though for large items.

I have not personally traveled with a toddler. However, I have seen thousands of people on the taxis during all of my visits and only once that I can recall did I see a carseat and it was one that the parents brought with... More
