Loved this beach! Within 5 minutes of being in the water, we saw our first turtle. In an hour of snorkelling we saw 5-6! Amazing! We didn't have to go out far in the water to see them either. Definitely recommend popping by this beach...More

Beautiful setting close to the road. Great if you have a lot of stuff you want to bring with you for the day and if you're early enough to get parking across the street. We arrived after 2:00 by taxi, and just turning the taxi...More

Great beach! Great snorkeling. Saw 3 turtles in the same day! Numerous fish and a nurse shark too! Water was calm and beautiful!

This has a grassy bottom, making it a good place to see sea turtles! We also snorkeled around the point to St. Francis Bay and enjoyed the sea life at the point.

Calm waters and you'll most likely see sea turtles if you snorkel out over the grassy areas. Snorkeling to the right near the rocks we swam through a school of millions of tiny fish. You can find shade under overhanging trees.

Maho Beach is the place to go for snorkeling- you are pretty much guaranteed to see plenty of enormous sea turtles, nursing sharks, and plenty of other fish. The beach is huge, but get there early to secure a shady spot. There is a small...More

Hi. We are arriving in St. John from St. Thomas via Ferry. Understand Maho Beach is the best beach for snorkeling. Are there facilities for food or restrooms nearby? Is there an area to rent snorkel equipment? How far is this from the Ferry drop off and are taxis easily accessible? Any suggestions of must do in St. John while there for 4-5 hours?

Yes, there is a public bathroom at the south end of the beach. This is a food stand for some beverages and snacks. You may bring your own Picnic there. Suggest to bring your own snorkeling gear. As I recall only Trunk Bay... More

Mahogany run is the only golf course in st thomas. St. John does not have one. I have never golfed there but I once rented a cart and drove the course and the scenery is magnificent. It is not far from Magen's Bay beach... More
