Maho beach is still in recovery, but it still has some of the best traits for a great Family Beach. Parking is normally quite easy and convenient (once they finish fixing the large lot on the north end). Maho has extremely calm water and a...More

The beach has changed but the water has not. There is a tremendous effort to restore and improve this beach from the hurricane damage it sustained.

We spent our 1st full day on our St. John vacation at Maho Bay. It has always been one of our favorite beaches. It took a terrible hit from Irma and Maria. Most of the shade trees as well as the pavilion were destroyed and...More

Maho lost most of its foliage during the hurricanes, leaving a wider, but shadeless beach. There is a lot of driftwood and stones near the bathroom but the other end is pure white sand. With its crystal clear, calm waters, this is still the best...More

Beach area was hit hard by the hurricanes but the snorkeling is still amazing. Sea turtles and sting rays!

Maho is the best place to snorkel right off the beach. The beach is flat and the water is always calm. Just a few feet out, you can see turtles munching on the sea grass and huge rays swimming around! Pelicans and donkeys also frequent...More

The parking lot is still not accessible, making this lovely, otherwise easily accessible beach difficult to enjoy.

The turtles and stingrays are still there. I fund them on the right side. Bring something for shade the trees are gone.

Maho has suffered some severe damage but looking out over the water it’s still so beautiful! We found a little spot with some shade and snorkeled our little hearts out. We were so happy to see so many turtles and some rays!
