I have been snorkelling at Maho Beach twice and saw sea turtles and sting rays both times. A few weeks ago when we were there we saw 5 or 6 different sea turtles and remora fish that were 2 or 3 feet long. We also saw trunk fish and cow fish and many other things. The view from the beach... More

Beautiful beach with easy access from parking. Free to get in here. We saw turtles and sting rays. The beach isn't very deep but is great. Bathrooms are available at one end of the beach. Enjoy!

Maho is always an excellent place to visit on our trips to St. John. This last trip, the sea grass and coral didn't seem as healthy as prior trips. But still a wonderful place to visit.

Go there early in the morning and enjoy the snorkeling! There were rays, tropical fish and feeding turtles. Beautiful sand beaches. Wish I was there now!

We actually reserved one of the pavilions for a BBQ Cookout with the family. It was atleast 20 of us. Perfect spot for the kids, to play in the sand. Barely any waves, the water was gorgeous, and the view. WOW!!! Mountains on both ends, and a beautiful secluded island towards the middle. Take bug repellent, just like on any... More

This is a beautiful spot and it is very calm for young children. We had the beach to ourselves lat in the afternoon!

Beautiful beach on the north shore. Great place to view sea turtles. Very calm water which is great for families with small children. Plenty of beach to find your own private spot.

I've been island-hopping for nearly three years and Maho ranks right there at the top. From the water looking back the thick forest, a tuft of tall palms and tropical sounds infuses a sense of peace and belonging. Then, when I turn around and take in the cobalt blue water and the islands further away, I remember why I love... More

Maho Beach was both pleasing and picturesque in its natural simplicity! Spectacular setting with smooth comfortable sand under our feet to enjoy a leisurely walk....a perfect place to spend an afternoon in St. John....bring your lounge chair, your music, and beverage of choice....you will see turtles, rays and birds gliding along the water in search of their next meal...all against...
