Basically, the prize level in St.John is high. This is why we decided to visit several grocery shops since all of them seemed to have some items that were cheaper than in others. Marketplace has a nice small store which sells wine and other drinks, as well as cheese. Occasionally they have good discounts on some of their produce. The... More

Very nice grocery store - the best on the island. You should expect to pay much more than at home or on St. Thomas. We usually rent a jeep on St. Thomas and buy most of our groceries on St. Thomas before getting on the ferry. We shop here when we run out of things.

We ordered food from the Starfish Market at the Marketplace. We arranged for delivery and it was nice not having to haul groceries from town. The food was expensive but it was worth the convenience of getting exactly what we wanted.

This store is awesome. Great prices and quality on steaks for grilling. Veggies were a little pricey but remember everything is imported. Really nice grocery store and deli. We would pick up a lunch for snorkeling and then swing back by for dinner items. High quality and large variety of items. All good

Since I was just visiting St. John for a day, food was more of a priority than groceries. The deli had a wide variety of food, including pizza. A cursory look around the store, showed that it catered to your every need. Great place to shop flor everything

This is a well stocked island grocery store - but it is an island grocery store, so prices can be high compared to the mainland. We're here in St. John for two weeks with a total of ten people - we've rented a house and traveled with some groceries to cook meals. The Marketplace (aka "Starfish Market" on many maps)... More

I'm not a fan of shopping but when supplies are needed, it's great to make just one stop. The Marketplace has everything! There is actually an amazing selection for an island grocery store. And the liquor store made me a happy man. Purchased everything we needed for our entire stay and got the heck out of Cruz Bay in less... More

OMG its one of the best grocery stores in the Island. And yes they sell Gluten free items. I found everything we needed for our weeks stay. It's a bit pricy as everything is imported Better than searching for other grocery stores.

We definitely liked Starfish Market better than the others we shopped at, especially the fruits and vegetables. But if you want alcohol, the prices made my jaw drop. Go to St. John Market for wine (but not anything else).

I've been coming to St. John for 25 years, longer than most of the snotty girls that work there have been alive. They are always rude to tourists, locals are definitely treated different, we have given up on them, there's other places to shop!

Thank Kim V
