This is a well stocked island grocery store - but it is an island grocery store, so prices can be high compared to the mainland. We're here in St. John for two weeks with a total of ten people - we've rented a house and traveled with some groceries to cook meals. The Marketplace (aka "Starfish Market" on many maps)... More

I'm not a fan of shopping but when supplies are needed, it's great to make just one stop. The Marketplace has everything! There is actually an amazing selection for an island grocery store. And the liquor store made me a happy man. Purchased everything we needed for our entire stay and got the heck out of Cruz Bay in less... More

OMG its one of the best grocery stores in the Island. And yes they sell Gluten free items. I found everything we needed for our weeks stay. It's a bit pricy as everything is imported Better than searching for other grocery stores.

We definitely liked Starfish Market better than the others we shopped at, especially the fruits and vegetables. But if you want alcohol, the prices made my jaw drop. Go to St. John Market for wine (but not anything else).

I've been coming to St. John for 25 years, longer than most of the snotty girls that work there have been alive. They are always rude to tourists, locals are definitely treated different, we have given up on them, there's other places to shop!

One of only 2 supermarkets on St. John Starfish Market has everything you'll need including some prepared and hot take out meals. Their produce, seafood and meat department is very fresh. Steaks were amazing. The plaza conveniently has a liquor store, pharmacy and bank ATM too.

I placed our order online prior to arriving on island and called a couple days prior to arriving to confirm. They had our order ready to go when we arrived to pick up. They will also deliver to your villa for a larger fee. They were out of a couple items and showed us substitutions they could offer. Yes it's... More

Good selection of groceries at this location (Starfish Market). Very expensive and you don't have a lot of other store choices. There is also a gourmet shop for beer, wine, cheese, you name it. Drug store, popular deli, bank, clean restrooms also located here.

This review is for supermarket on the 1st floor - has slightly more varied selection of groceries than other places, clean. Tried few markets for bread, this one was best bet for better than packaged wonder bread. Cheese selection was poor, they had few of better salamis, 1 or 2 type of european butter, carry organic eggs and milk, few... More

First off, I live here and am a responsible adult. I bought some yogurt and frozen strawberries at 10am and tried to return them 2 hours later after they had been stored in the fridge/freezer. They give me the excuse that they cannot accept any perishable items once it has left the door and point to the posted sign under... More
