The Starfish market is clean and well-stocked with good selection of groceries and sundries. The deli-meat counter is excellent. They will make sandwiches to go that can be brought to the beach or home. It's a very good place for stocking up on groceries. Very...More

Our condo was within a mile of the Starfish market, so we came here everyday. Yes, prices here are expensive, but still way better than eating out. You can actually get some good deals though. The large lunch to-go plate is $13.50 which has enough...More

OK, the starfish market is extremely nice on the inside. They have a very good selection for being on a desolate island. It may be a little more expensive than the other markets on the island, but it is way better to go here. I...More

We were on a cruise which landed in St Thomas so we took the opportunity to visit St John, a picturesque "Sister Island" about an hour by taxi and ferry. A taxi from the cruise port to Red Hook Ferry Port and a 20 minute...More

The prices and selection here are better than any other grocery we have tried on St John. The only downside is that it's a $10.00 cab ride, each way, from the Cruz Bay Area. Wine and soft drinks in particular are 40-50% less than the...More

Central location, bring snacks and cookies form home as they are very high priced, other foods more reasonably priced. Meats, fish, veggies plentiful. Weigh the price against going for BBQ for supper.

Take 104 east out of Cruz Bay. Highly recommend getting The St. John App to have maps and points of interest right on your phone. Have fun on St. John!

If you have special dietary needs, it might be wise. If you're going to spend a long period of time on the island, I suppose one could ship / fly food to the final destination and make it worthwhile. Otherwise, I don't see... More
