The cab ride over to Red Hook from the airport is terrible, but the ferry ride is first class!

Well run, and easy to get from St. John to Red Hook....Red Hook to the airport is another thing....but no good alternatives. Suck it up and realize you are in the US Virgin... read more

Taking the ferry from Red Hook to St. John was much easier than expected. The ride itself was only 15 minutes. Because the ferry leaves every hour on the hour, we waited longer than the ride itself.

The ferry from St Thomas to St John is so easy and convenient. Short lines to buy tickets and board the ferry. Lots of cabs available at ferry too

Captain Mindy with Big Blue excursions took us across the bay, so we didn't ride the ferry this last trip. But overall it is just fine!

We used this ferry at the start and finish of our trip to St John as we traveled to and from the airport at ST Thomas. The price is reasonable at $7/person + $4 a piece for large pieces of luggage. The ticket agents inside the booth were pretty robotic and provided the coldest customer service we encountered during our... More

The service is reliable. The staff makes loading and off loading easy. The ferry is just good reliable public transportation. Just what it needs to be.

We are 1st timers to STJ so taking the ferry from STT to STJ was the beginning of our great adventure! But before we boarded, we had time for our 1st painkiller in the ferry bar at Red Hook. My brother got hooked from the start. Bushwackers became my favorite drink that week. But I digress. Ferry Feelings: cost of... More

St. John is part of the United States Virgin Islands and; as such, there is no need for passport or immigration procedures. So the fifteen minute three mile ferry trip is basically stress free. The ferry is $7 each way and leaves pretty much on the hour from Red Hook or St. John . the dock in St. John is... More

Very good trip on the car ferry on the way to st. john , but on the way back , there were 2 stinky garbage trucks next to our car. There motors were running with diesel fumes. The workers were a bit confusing with their direction on where to park on the ferry
