Another of our favorite beaches

Francis Bay is a larger version of Maho Bay. There is more to see as far as coral, etc. while snorkeling. Turtles and ray play here also. Love the size of the beach.

We rented a dinghy in Cruz Bay and visited a few beaches by water one day. St. Francis Beach was easy to get to from the dinghy and provided picnic tables and plenty of shade. We also liked the beaches at Cinnamon and Trunk Bay, although Trunk was a little tricky to approach by water.

Francis Bay was a nice calm beach, but the water was less clear and blue than other beaches nearby. We brought snorkel equipment in hopes that we would find the sea turtles, but we weren't that lucky. The water was more difficult to see through and there wasn't much aquatic life the day that we visited.

You can hang out at a quiet beach at the end of a short dirt road that has good swimming. What we enjoyed most was the boardwalk that takes you through mangroves. You have a good chance of seeing some interesting birds and waterfowl.

A beautiful, quiet beach not far from Cinnamon Bay. Our family loved it there. We spent two afternoons snorkeling, which was not great, but interesting and time in the sun. A,so plenty of shade.

A revisit after 23 years was good enough for us to go three times during a 10 day stay. The new paved road is a great addition, the NP provides tables and barbecues and a pit toilet, and parking is close to the beach. Now, this is a long, shallow beach and at high tide the swell will come up... More

Dec 2015...parking area was under construction. Had to take the long way to the beach but glad we did. Saw some ruins along the way and had a nice boardwalk path near the beach. Kind of secluded. Water visibility was not as good as others but still definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful large beach. Great sand and water. Absolutely gorgeous. Most tourists usually miss this one.. which is another reason this beach is great. Can always find a private spot.

This beach offers lots of underwater adventures. When you enter the beach it doesn't matter if you go left or right, there is always lots of room and plenty of fish under the water! Iguanas and feral chickens are common. Pelicans rest on the rocks separating Maho Bay and Francis Bay. Beautiful views of the surrounding islands.

We love this spot. There is nice snorkeling to the left towards Maho. It is a nice beginner spot for little ones. Stingray often visits the shore and an octopus can be seen not too far from the shore in the rocks on the left.
