Went here on our first full day hoping to see the donkeys but we did not. Getting to it has a strange sulphur/sewer like smell to it. But once you get to the water you can't smell it or you don't care anymore because you...More

I have been going to St. John for 30 years and never tire of the island. We have dear friends that live there and it's always a treat to visit.

This ended up being my favorite bay! It was never too crowded and I especially loved the little tree huts that are around to hold out stuff. The water is so clear and beautiful and we saw a decent amount of fish near the shore....More

The beach is a quiet, isolated beach and is not crowded. The water is calm and great for snorkeling. Another great way to explore the bay is through stand-up paddle boarding. Francis Bay is a great place to search for sea turtles.

On our top STJ top 4 beach list (with Maho, Trunk and Hawksnest). Great place to watch the exquisite turtle water ballet. Gorgeous white sand, crystal clear Caribbean water. If you have a week in STJ, definitely include Francis on your "to do" list.

This was our favorite beach because it was easy to get to and wasn't crowded. For our first trip we walked the Trail which was a moderate walking/easy hiking trail; that is it hasn't been cleared since the storm but the terrain was pretty and...More
