Mongoose junction is a 10 minute walk along the main road from the ferry terminal. The stores are mostly air conditioned, and do not have tourist junk. There are a variety of clothing stores varying from casual to dress clothes, mostly with clothes for the Islands. The eclectic shopper may even find Christmas cards with Santa on the beach. For... There are many things to do at the Mongoose Junction. Shop, eat, drink adult beverages and just see all the beautiful shops.

We went on a Friday night and the place was alive with live music, artists and crowds of people shopping, eating and having fun. Mongoose Junction appears to be the upscale shopping and dining area of Cruz Bay. Parking was easy, the stores were varied and lots of dining options. I would think you could also hit it during the... More

Don't miss visiting Mongoose Junction when you visit St. John. There are some very nice shops and restaurants in this open-air shopping area. It's located just an easy walk down form the Ferry Dock. There are also a couple of restaurants and an ice cream shop that you pass on the same side of the street on the way there.

Mongoose Junction is an upscale open-air shopping and dining complex, a short walk from the ferry terminal. I'm not a big shopper, but we had a look around -- nice shops. We stopped for happy hour in the Mexican restaurant, and moved on to drinks at the Ocean Grill. Enjoyable end to a day on the beach.

Check out Big Planet for a great selection of t-shirts. The St. John National Park Shop has nice t-shirts and gifts - and also supports the National Park. Great place to spend a couple of hours and before heading back to the beach!

We wanted to do some shopping while on St. John and this is actually the only place to go. There are a number of shops and a couple of restaurants. I purchased some jewelry for myself and some t shirts for grandchildren. Really not much else there....

Hi Chris So sorry you didn't enjoy as much as we both would have liked. Mongoose Junction is an open air venue, with lush terraces and walkways that meander and adjoin our 30 shops and restaurants, built with native stone and gorgeous mahogany, so when it rains heavily as it sometimes does this time of year, some of the charm... We are residents of St. Thomas (1 year) and had a friend in from NY. We took her over to St. John since we haven't been there yet (we're "workaholics ☺️) and we stopped at Mongoose Junction. I love the variety of shops...there's literally something for just about everyone!!! Parking was a bit difficult because it was Halloween and the... More

Thanks, CB Glad you enjoyed and Halloween here is very special to us because of the number of children and families that come out for trick or treating in the afternoon. The parking is usually ample (and FREE!) but special events here can make it a tad more difficult. Hope to see you again soon. More

This was a great break from a big beach day! Nice shops and cute bars and restaurants. Lots of jewelry and crafts. There are also two places to rent snorkel gear to head over to Maho bay or any of the other beaches. There is also information kiosks that can assist with how to get around the island. Parking is...
