This trail goes through several phases, from sand beach to salt pond to cobblestone beach to winding vertical trail to an amazing view. Along the way butterflies danced around us, and Turk's Cap cactus dotted the rugged hillside. Highly recommended. We brought hiking poles and they came in handy in the steeper rockier parts.

Great little hike. We went at sunrise and that was the right choice bc there’s little coverage on this hike and the sun can beat down! Do as I say and not as I do—-follow the path do not get distracted by goat and deer paths as these are treacherous and although lead to a beautiful vantage point, is not for your casual biker. Def one of our fave parts of the trip and I’m more of a beach bum type.

We left for Rams head at about 3:45. This timing was. perfect as it was a more cloudy day and the sun was not as intense. There were very few hiking so we had it to ourselves when we got to the top. The views are wonderful. It is a good workout but not too long.

Get there early, like no later than 7am, because it's gonna be HOT! But do go, it's a good hike with lots to see. Awesome view from the Ram Head. Easy to follow trail, start at the end of Salt pond beach, go by Salt Pond and work your way up. When you get to the Blue Cobblestone beach, look for the mounds of stones to guide you along the path.

Great hike to a stunning vista. Hard to find the path in but once you do, it is well marked and a very interesting path.
