Important: go early or go late. This trail could be brutal in the midday sun. Our family of 4 set out around 4 p.m. and pretty much had the trail and the blue pebble beach to our selves. The light at that hour was beautiful...More

This is a semi-strenuous hike. Bring plenty of water. We brought about 2 quarts for three of us and should have brought more. There’s not much shade, and a lot of hills and rocky terrain. That being said, The private beaches gorgeous views and amazing...More

Ram Head trail was a great, but challenging hike. It was somewhat hard to find the trail head, but if you hike down the beach at Salt Pond Bay over the rocks, you can pick up the trail there. It was generally well marked from...More

We did this walk quite a few times! Just remember post hurricane Irma there's not much shade and it gets hot!!!! Best time is to go early. Late afternoon sounds like a good idea, but theres sand flies ("noseeems") and they'll get ya!

Amazing and beautiful views! Definitely worth doing the easy-moderate hike. We have been visiting St. John since 1994 and always do this hike. Our last two trips, our teenagers have really enjoyed getting great pics on top of Ram's Head. Great memories!

Amazing views and definitely a trip highlight. We got lost a few times along the trail but were able to find our way, and it was well worth the effort. Very peaceful and barely anyone else along the trail. Highly recommended!

We had some trouble finding the trail but once we did we greatly enjoyed it. It wasn't too challenging, .just a bit rocky at times. Gorgeous views.

It is a little had to find the path but if you download the app St John Off the Beaten Path it helps. The view at the end is amazing.

The Ram Head Trail is always a highlight of our trip to St. John. We were anxious to see how different things would be after the 2017 hurricane season. To our relief, the Trail to still the best hike on St. John. The entry portion...More

The hike is not too intense but the terrain is very rocky. The area is not a tropical region like the majority of the island. It is more of an arid environment. You will see lots of cacti. The landscape here is very different from...More
