Red Hook Dive Center is a full-service, FIVE-star PADI Dive Center located in American Yacht Harbor on the east end of St. Thomas. As a ScubaPro Platinum dealer, we have a huge selection of Scuba, snorkel, and other water sport gear, equipment, and apparel for you to check out Monday - Saturday from 9am - 5pm. We have daily two-tank dives leaving American Yacht Harbor and support a variety of levels of dive certification. In addition, our shop offers private dive charters, dive and snorkel rental equipment, air AND Nitrox tank fills, and equipment repair and service. The underwater world around St. Thomas provides amazing diving opportunities for visitors and residents alike, so LET'S GO DIVING!

Super cool! I signed up last minute for a full moon night dive and everyone from the shop to the captain to the dive leads were friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. Dove a wreck first as the sunset and then did Arches and Tunnels at night, both were great sites. Special shout out to Steph, she’s a rockstar!

We've dove with Red Hook Dive Center 3 times now and will keep coming back. The crew is knowledgable, down to earth and overall great people and they always take us on some fun dives. Highly recommend!

I had such a great experience at Red Hook Dive Center! The dive was a very unique, fun dive with beautiful coral, lots of clown fish and lobster. The customer service was spot on and they were very thorough.

The instructors, boat, equipment, and instruction were terrific. My husband and my 12yo (first time diver) went for the scuba discovering experience and had a blast. The selected areas were clean of sargassum, full of sea creatures and no big waves. I stayed with my 8yo doing snorkeling in the same areas so we could see them below from time to time.
Totally recommended. Kudos to instructor Stephanie for coaching my daughter all along!

Thank you for your review! We love it when families can all hop on the boat together whether it's for diving, snorkeling, or a combination of both - there are so many options! Steph is an absolutely awesome instructor and had so much fun during the Discover SCUBA Diving experience with your daughter - it's so exciting when we have kids participate in that excursion package and hope she continues with her certification :)

This was our 3rd time diving with Red Hook Dive Center and we had a blast!! The captains and guides are always so nice and accommodating and the dive sites are absolutely amazing. Will be back next time we are in St Thomas!!

We are somewhat experienced divers (70+ dives) that were a little rusty. The crew and dive masters took great care of us. During the dive, the dive masters were very mindful of all of the divers throughout the entire time. If you don't have BCDs etc no worries; their equipment seems practically new. If we come back to St Thomas we will definitely be diving with them again.

Small groups allow for personalized attention. Fast boat with dive sites that are close to marina. Truely concerned that we had good dives.

Every aspect of our week of diving was great. Always a bit apprehensive when using a new shop and/or new owners of a dive shop. From the call to reserve, our online waivers, and 3 great days of diving, Scott and Sam have hit the mark. Their staff is top notch, making sure your dives are safe and enjoyable. We have been diving with Red Hook for many years on our annual trip to St. T. And will not hesitate to book again next year.

Thank you for your question! We are located in American Yacht Harbor in the heart of Red Hook and are surrounded by many resorts and independent Air B&B and VRBO rentals, so you're bound to find something close that fits your needs. We agree with the previous post that some resorts offer shuttle service easily to and from Red Hook, but there are also numerous taxi services that will arrange pick-ups and drop-offs. Give us a call at the shop if you need any more info!

How is the snorkeling vs diving - will we still have lots to see? Is there a price difference if you are just "along for the ride" bringing your own snorkel equipment?

St. Thomas has beautiful snorkeling and diving and we would love for you to join us! We also have a Discover Scuba Diving experience if you're interested. For ride along/snorkelers, it's $59 for our morning excursion. Give us a call for more info!

Yes, we will take snorkelers/riders on a space available basis. They must be 16 years of age or older or accompanied by a parent at all times.
