The beach itself can be dirty. There are rocks to avoid. However, the water is beautiful. It's quiet and tranquil. The locals hang out here.

While this beach was deserted and beautiful, it was very rocky , and literally away from everything. Across the street however is the back end of the Ritz Carlton. Their was a lot of trash and seaweed and j didn't feel safe here at all. Nice to view from the car!

Its not safe at night. This is very dirty beach. It is very crowded. I would not recommend visiting this beach. You are not missing anything.

This is a nice little secret. Easy parking under the trees, quiet, visited by locals. Say "good morning" or "good afternoon" and strike up a conversation-a great way to get some local tips and info. This little beach is unassuming and can get a bit wavy when the ferries go by. But, as it turns out, there are secrets under... More

Quiet, secluded, beautiful beach, you have the Ritz on one side of the road with beach and walk across the road to Vessup Beach. No amenities but great views and private.

There is some good snorkeling right along this stretch of beach going into Redhook, but this appears to be the place the locals come to park, drink, sleep and even bathe in the morning. We wanted to snorkel, but did not feel comfortable here leaving our things unattended. Too much trash also along the beach and roadways. It's a non-... More

I love Vessup Bay. Great wind being on the east side of St. Thomas. I have spent many a day lying in a hammock there. Awesome view of all the island to the east.
