A favorite of windsurfers, the beach has fine white sand and beautiful views of St. John and offshore cays, and offers excellent snorkeling at the reef to the east, near Pettyklip Point.

Good beach. Calm and clear waters. Plenty of chairs to relax. Lots of people selling drinks and snacks. Great to sit back and enjoy the sun.

Family friendly, condo's currently under construction so "quiet" is relative. Bathrooms are nothing fancy but functional. Reefs are full of tropical fish....bring or rent snorkel equipment ($8 for 2 hrs). White sands, coral galore...plan on spending the day- snack bar has basics.

We stopped here as part of an island tour (shore excursion.) Honestly, we were worn out by the time we got to the beach after the rest of the tour, so only stayed a few minutes to cool off. Then we headed back to the cruise ship. The part of the beach we were on was not very crowded, and... More

Don't misunderstand me. By all rights, this beach is also beautiful like just about every beach on St. Thomas, but just not as good with amenities like other beaches. My son, 12 would give it 5 star and my wife 3 stars. Apparently the bathrooms, per wife were "disgusting." My son appreciated the sand, water color, and waves. I wouldn't... More

We visited on a weekday afternoon. The beach was packed with people, but we were able to find a place to lay out our blanket. The shoreline is a little rocky, but the views are beautiful and the water is so blue. Not much to see snorkeling - so many people have damaged the reef life. Good place to meet... More

the water is so clear but you do have a few waves, nothing too rough(older children around 10 were snorkeling in the water) but also great for snorkeling because of the fish life around the sea weed! this was our first beach when we got there and it was our last because it was our favorite! its not so crowded... We spent our 35th Anniversary on Sapphire Beach! The most amazing beach. The color of the water is unbelievable and the views of the surrounding islands is breathtaking! Great snorkeling, but not crowded at all , except for the one day the cruise ship was in. We felt like we had our own private paradise. Only place we will stay... More

Stopped here for a couple hours to snorkel. Beautiful beach and water. Can see St. John from the beach. It was a little crowded because of the fact that there were 3 cruise ships in town, but we were able to find a spot away from the dive shop. A little seaweed as the water was a bit choppy, but...
