If you're heading to St. Thomas to dive, feel totally confident booking your dives with JJ Divers. Our family dove three days with JJ's and we booked their private charter with on board BBQ. It was truly a great experience with these guys. We came on a very windy week, but our captain, Will, was able to drive those waves seamlessly to get us to our dive sights. We dove with both Jack and Merril and they were patient, knowledgeable and were the perfect amount of dive master you'd want. They were chill to hang out with on the boat and made our days very enjoyable. Captain Will, double as our BBQ-er, making us great fresh caught lobster (thanks to Jack), lobster rolls and brats along with different sides that the owner Jacob put together for us so we could have variety in our week. This outfit takes pride in their boats, equipment and knowledge of the dive sites and I would totally recommend using them as your dive outfit when visiting St. Thomas.

JJ divers made our first dives in St Thomas so great. First day we dove Cow and Calf. Always briefed on the dive before getting in the water. Phil educated everyone on swim-throughs and alternative options making us super comfortable in the water when deciding whether we wanted to through. Second day was some pretty awesome diving after a delayed start to the morning that was out of everyone’s control. Everyone on the boat was offered to reschedule or get a refund due to the circumstances. (DON’T get in a car accident on St Thomas. Every time is on island time ie: 3-4 hrs for a fender bender report) But we all stuck it out, enjoyed some snacks, shared some stories and quite a few laughs! And because a little bit of patience, we got some pretty amazing dives in. Headed out to the Cartanza and Andres, both just teeming with sea life. The boat was split in two groups of discover divers and certified divers which was perfect not having to be restricted because of the discover divers. (As a Certified diver listening to the discover scuba education and briefing, I thought Jack was very thorough and he encouraged and answered all questions. I would definitely use JJ if you are looking to dabble in a new hobby!). Let the crew know what your goals are for your dives before you head out too. We knew before getting on the boat we would have liked to go to 2 specific sites and all we had to do was ask! At the time, I had yet to see a shark on any of my dives, but the crew knew exactly how to rectify that, took us andres, and I got my first glimpse at a grey reef shark! Will, Phil, and Jack, thanks for some awesome birthday dives. Can’t wait to come back!

My first impression of JJ Divers was how friendly and personable they were. I would highly recommend them.
My family of 5 were picked up at the cruise port and returned after our dives. Our cruise came into port late and they waited on us to disembark instead of making us get a cab. 👍
Our dive guide Aaron was great along with the other dive guide, John and boat captain, Jase. All were very personable, gave great attention to detail, and even though the weather wasn’t cooperative, they bent over backwards to make sure we had a great couple of dives. You won’t go wrong choosing their dive operation. 🤙

We went on a private charter, 4 of us went snorkeling and 1 dove. We saw all kinds of fish and our diver was really impressed with Jack. However, did not like the policy of gratuity added on for parties of 5 or more automatically. This us our 3rd time coming to USVI and the first time we have been charged this, as we have gone through many different charter companies, fishing, snorkeling, diving and Pizza Pi. We had no problem tipping the captain and Jack as they did a great job but would like to to know where this other gratuity is going?

Recently completed 2 OWD certified dives. JJ was one of the better companies I've dove with globally: super responsive, safe, calm and laid back to make everyone comfortable, and full equipment valet service. They're also probably one of the only dive crews that have left on time (most divers are never really in a hurry and can spend hours before the dive just shooting the sh!t at the shop).
There were some non-certified people on board, but the crew did a great job making sure they were comfortable and that the certified divers had a good time. We were even trading some stock tips - ha!
Aaron was a cool dive master and did a nice job making sure I was safe but letting me explore and stay under a bit longer as I had a lot of air left.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good dive operation in St. Thomas.

Fantastic experience. My 2 boys and I did the discover scuba activity when our cruise ship docked in St Thomas. 25 minute taxi drive from the dock cost us 30$ total, 30$ to return. Great laid back staff. My youngest son kept panicking when trying to get down in the water and they handled it great. Fantastic coral and marine life on the two dives. We saw a shark as well as eel and beautiful fish. Would do it again. Other folks there doing certified dives and one person training for certification seemed to have a great time as well.

My husband and I enjoyed a day scuba diving at Buck’s island with the JJ diver crew. The captain and two divers (Jack and Chloe) were great and made it super comfortable for us two relatively new divers. We saw a bunch of reef fish, a huge blowfish, a large barracuda, a really cool wreck and more, for a super affordable price. Go check them out! Overall, it was extremely enjoyable.

Amazing experience. Did 5 days of diving with JJ dive operation. Dive masters Jessie and Chloe were absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable on dive sites and surrounding landmarks. I am very pleased with each operation and would recommend JJ divers to anyone that is certified or wants to be certified

"Wicked Awesome Experience"
Having two dives from a resort in Jamaica, I wanted to complete my "Open Water Certification. I called JJ Divers and booked a trip with Jack. After explaining my situation to him, he said to come on down to the Oasis Cove Maria tomorrow at 8:45 am. I arrived early and made contact with Captain Will and Dive Master Merril. They were preparing the dive boat for the day's dives. Both were pleasant and engaging. To my surprise, Merril asked if I was the diver wanting to get my certification. It was me. Jack had briefed him about my earlier call. The other divers arrived, and we were invited onto the boat. Captain Will explained everything, and we were underway by 9:10 am. Dive Master Merrel described conditions and where the dive spots would be. Unfamiliar with my skills, he asked me to demonstrate. After he was satisfied, we were the first ones in the water. The other two divers on the boat were enjoying their third day of diving with JJ Divers. With Merrill feeling confident with their skills, he was able to provide the time I needed. Upon completing my second dive and climbing back onto the boat, I was cheered and congratulated for being "Open Water Certified." So grateful and excited, I stayed on for the afternoon dive with Captain Will and Dive Master Jack. While eating lunch between dives, I was approached by Jacob with the information on how to complete the certification process. He emailed me the link to take the test. After completing the test, I emailed him the results, and he reported the information to PADI. Three days back from St. Thoms. My open water card is on its way. I was so thankful and appreciated everything JJ Divers did to help with my "Open Water Certification." I would highly recommend JJ Divers to all experienced and new divers as JJ Divers are "Wicked Awesome."

We had a fantastic scuba experience (2 tank dive) with JJ Divers! From booking the trip to taking it, all staff and crew were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Our dive master was great-helpful and reassuring. She definitely knew what she was doing!! There was a range of people with different levels of experience from beginners to experienced and she led us all well. Highly recommend that you dive with JJ!

My family will be in St Thomas on July 14th and my son and I would like to dive (my wife just wants to ride along). We will be arriving on the MSC Seaside and will need to rent gear. Is this possible and what are the fees? Thanks
