Good shopping all around. We found an ice cream shop tucked away in the back of a jewelry store! While not in the palm passage, our favorites were the artist galleries with actual artists and the food/drink scene. You can walk from the seaplane/ ferry.

I really enjoyed the whole area. Parking can be difficult but if you drive around you usually find one. We ate breakfast there and shopped at round. Many beautiful shops with real artist gifts. Handmade. Remember you can always order from Amazon but you won’t get the true authentic local gifts like you can here. Very clean and full of helpful polite people.

Just by chance we strolled into Palm Passage and found Just Imagine. This small shop was overflowing with beautiful hand-picked decorative items by Fran, the shop owner, and other select local artisans. The quality and value was FAR above the typical "hand crafted" shop we have found and we were thrilled with the variety and elegance of the items. Could have taken care of birthday and holiday gifts for the entire family in this shop!

These beautiful passages remind you of a Moroccan Market place and link Veterans Drive to Store Gade. The stores tout duty and tax free shopping and some do offer deals but wise bartering and a bit of frugality can yield some great bargains. Be wary of pick pockets. When the cruise ships are in dock, there are scores of plain clothes security persons walking the streets keeping everyone safe. The store owners are a bit aggressive and not everything that glitters is gold and real diamonds

Great Shops and a terrific little bar in Palm Passage. A great break from all the jewelry shops. Just Imagine has the best hand-painted clothing and other local artistry. The service was terrific, and Fran went out of her way to deliver a piece to our hotel. Can't say enough about that shop.

Truth to tell we were thirsty and in need of restrooms. It looked so inviting we ventured in. It was an amazing place, so different to Main Street with all the top end Jewelry (that we couldn't afford) - and despite telling shop assistants not to get excited as we weren't able to buy, they persevered. So we abandoned the pricey shops (although there are some souvenir shops on Main Street) and turned in here.
Instantly much cooler and when we saw the bar we knew we'd found our haven on St. Thomas. Sadly we didn't take any photographs, but I see some thoughtful reviewers have already posted their images so you can get an idea.
Had some drinks at the oval bar (no restroom here but you can use the facilities at the bistro next door) - and enjoyed the witty repartee of the bartender.
So full of character and unusual shops - the bistro looked inviting, and on another day, with more time, we would have tried it.
Not difficult to find, so glad we happened on it.

If you need only cheap trinkets and souveniers you can do this mall in 10 minutes. For serious shopping allow hours. It is easy to lose all track of time. Store after store of fine jewels, gold, chrystal, perfumes, clothing and linens.

No taxes or duty to pay really helps and allows you to buy more treasures.

If you need a refreshment or a place for your mate to pass the time, the Palm Passage Outdoor Bar is at the end of the lane. Wonderful tender who is an accomplished conversationalist.

Palm Passage is a well maintain street in the heart of the shopping district.Very well maintained and furnished with flowers it is a pretty road to walk and windiow shop along. As with all the streets in the town centre you will be constantly asked to 'Come in and look around' but nothing too aggerssive. There are a couple of bars, so a nice place to sit down and watch the world go by. If like us you are from the UK, the £-$ excange rate means that you are unlikely to find any 'Must Have' bargains.

Whenever my husband and I visit St. Thomas we always spend some time at the oval bar inside the Palm Passage walkway. It is a nice relaxing place to drink and have fun! The atmosphere is so relaxing and the drinks are made by a very entertaining bartender. It is a great place to meet new people and try some new interesting drinks. It is a must visit place while you are shopping in St, Thomas.

Utilizing a beautifully finished pedestrian alleyway between two restored historic warehouses on the south side of Main Street, Palm Passage offers upscale shopping at many attractive shops and outdoor dining and a bar. While Main Street is dominated by jewelry shops, Palm Passage offers a different assortment including accessories such as sunglasses and gloves, a surf shop, a couple eclectic galleries and more. In addition to the shopping, Palm Passage has an outdoor café and bar that is a great place for a drink or a bite to eat in relaxing and beautiful surroundings. The only negative is that it can get quite crowded at times and once when we stopped by, the bar was packed so we asked if we could just get some soft drinks at the café but we were told that we would need to go to the bar if we did not want food which seemed strange as the café was virtually empty.
