On a girls’ trip to St Thomas and we wanted to give scuba diving a try…. Everything was perfect from start to finish. A group of 4 of us were nervous and excited to try this and the crew couldn’t have made it more fun and comfortable!! Jerry is a riot, so much fun and so professional. He took us to two different spots and helped us ease into it comfortably while experiencing super memorable dives. Hayden was our dive instructor and was so on top of everything- took care of all of us and guided us with such care and comfort to help us be at ease and have a ton of fun. We got to dive at a shipwreck, swim with a sea turtle (“Esteban”), see a stingray, hold sea urchin and so much more. The whole trip was amazing and we would recommend this dive center and great group to anyone!! Thank you Admiralty for a perfectly memorable life changing experience!! You took our trip to a whole new level.

I went to Admiralty Dive due to all the positive reviews, unfortunately my experience was not great. Before the dive, Jerry was communicative & helped me get a spot at a short notice. I did a 2 tank morning dive, Brian was super helpful in checking me in. My divemaster was Hayden, though. The first dive was great. The waters were choppy due to wind but the boat was moored & they has a line for divers to hold on to at the surface. Ascend/descend was nice, divemaster paid attention to everyone. He also hunted fishes with a spear & fed sharks (I am not a big fan of feeding sharks but it was cool to watch. I assume he knew if feeding sharks in that particular habitat was ok). When we surfaced, the captain was busy on the boat and paid no attention but the divemaster helped us all get aboard in-spite of the huge waves. All good so far. Next, for the second dive, we faced some current. It was mellow at the beginning & all was ok. It picked up as time went by. As we turned half way & started our return to the boat, the current got stronger and we were swimming against it. Although I was weighted properly (actually a bit over weight to be on the safe side) and had no air in the BCD, the current started pushing me up. The divemaster was too busy and much ahead of rest of the group for me to signal for his attention. Another diver ascended few feet of water to hold my hand and drag me down. In the meantime, one more diver caught up with the divemaster and grabbed him towards me. As the current was getting stronger, the divemaster then escorted me to the mooring line. I ascended to the surface only to find the captain looking at his phone. I had to yell loudly to grab his attention. Boat captains are typically vigilant; they watch for bubbles of ascending divers incase someone has emergency like I did. What if I had surfaced at a much larger distance from the boat & he could not have heard me over the waves & wind? Too unprofessional in my opinion. Also, as I was struggling to get onboard the boat, he didn't even offer help in-spite of sensing that something was wrong (I was the only diver on surface) When the divemaster surfaced with rest of the group 15 mins later, we discussed this incidence. He acknowledged the current was brutal. Note that I have done the Drift diving course and know the skills to be used in currents but such things can happen even to experts. Hence, its utmost important to have vigilant divemaster & captain. I have read other poor review from customers and can relate to the unprofessionalism of this shop. PADI will be hearing from me soon.

Admiralty Dive Center is not only a “SAFE” operation but an incredibly knowledgeable one! Each dive is filled with local knowledge of the environment and ocean life. I can be guaranteed to see Sharks, rays, octopus, squid and the list goes on. Their wreck experience is bar none the best. We can safely traverse wrecks inside and out! If you want a memorable experience dive with Admiralty Dive Center! Oh and of course they have mascot piggies!!! Hammer is the cutest!

Excellent experience. They didn't mess around, quick class on the boat and then straight to the first dive site to demonstrate our skills before we went down. Everyone on board was great; captain, crew, dive master, dive master in training, even the other people learning open water rescue skills. Both dive sites were awesome, coral, cuda, nurse sharks. This was my 16 year old daughter's first time and she loved it. Thanks again. Oh yea, make sure to give the dive boat pig, Ham Solo a pet!
