We sailed with Captain Mike and his first mate Nicky in February on our second cruise ship visit to St Thomas. Our first time was almost eight years ago, and we were again with another couple, our best friends from the US. The first trip was so magical, we were almost scared to do it again, in case it wasn’t the same. Delighted to see that Nicky was back after having two kids in the meantime!
Well it was just as great as before, Mike is just as affable, Nicky just as agile, our safety absolutely paramount at all times, the snorkelling instruction comprehensive and health issues taken very seriously. Then huge fun and encouragement to people like us who only swim in the sea/snorkel once in a blue moon. The drinks (punch, beer, soft drinks) flow on the return trip, and little snacks.
And the Fury is real sailing - there are lots of catamarans which motor out to the turtle cove, but we had sail power, with a slight heel over like you imagine. Best of all, on the return trip we sat on the deck with our legs dangling over the side, into the ocean spraying our feet and legs. Surely the best boat trip in St Thomas?

Mike and Nikki were very fun, easy going, knowledgeable, and provided a great overall experience for us. The sail boat ride out to the snorkeling spot was very pretty with great views of the islands. The snorkeling spot featured sea turtles and a coral reef with a good amount of fish. The gear functioned well and was clean. Nikki jumped in the water with us and guided us to the best spots. We snorkeled for about an hour then Mike greeted us back on the boat with some rum punch and good convos.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun snorkeling trip in St. Thomas. The only drawback is there were several other tours happening at the same time as us so the water was very crowded when we were there. Probably 50 or 60 other people in the water when we were there, though spread over a wide area. If you're looking for a very exclusive snorkeling trip in an isolated area, this isn't it, but if you want a fun time and want to see some good looking turtles and fish in an easily accessiible area, this fits well.

We went sailing on the Fury with captain Mike and crew Nicki and we had a wonderful time. We snorkeled with 3 sea turtles. We saw a sting ray on the bottom and many beautiful fish. The weather was perfect and we had more individualized attention than the catamaran that had about 50 people on board. On the way back to port we had delicious rum punch and snacks. I would go back out with them if I ever get another chance to go to St Thomas.

Outstanding experience! Captain Mike and first mate Nicky went above and beyond to educate, inform and entertain our party of 12. A wonderful memorable sailing and snorkeling experience. Loved seeing the turtles and observing the reef with respect and awe. The beverage service on board was the an unexpected delight as well! Highly recommend this experience for visitors who treasure nature.

Captain Mike and First Mate Nicki were awesome--very knowledgeable, eco-conscious (reef protection) and engaging. It was a beautiful sail and while snorkeling we saw turtles and lots of different colorful fish. Highly recommended!

There was a group of us that went on the sea turtle snorkel trip. Captain Mike and Nikki. He and Nikki provided excellent service and information. There was a family with two kids and us older folks, no one felt uncomfortable.
I have some lung issues and the went above and beyond to insure I was safe and having a good time.
The highlight though was when a large sea turtle swan right under me me by mere inches!
Captain Mike also called to have a taxi ready to take us back to our ship. The taxi took 12 of us and dropped us off at the end of the boarding pier.

This was our first trip to St Thomas. Mike and Nikki were exceptional hosts and made everyone feel welcome, and definitely had a focus on safety. Nikki helped everyone locate and view sea turtles and identified different corals. Highly recommend this experience.

Captain Mike and Nikki were amazing. We had our 15 year old and our 6 year old. They paid special attention to the kids which made us very happy. Sailed out to Buck Island where Nikki got in the water and even helped the 6 year old. She showed us where the Sea Turtles were. Drinks and snacks on the way back in. So glad our friend recommended the Fury!

My family had a wonderful day today snorkeling at Buck Island Turtle Cove. It was my first experience snorkeling as I am a nervous swimmer. I felt very safe. Nicky and Mike did an excellent job.

This was the best excursion during our cruise. We did the sail and snorkel with the turtles. The small number of people on the excursion is a bonus which allows a more personal and informational excursion. It was amazing and so relaxing. We will use Fury Charters the next time we are in St. Thomas. Capt. Mike and Nikki were awesome!

Hi Folks, Is this a more intimate boat/snorkeling trip? Does it leave from Charlotte Amalie, in St. Thomas and go to any good quiet snorkeling coves by St. Thomas? Type of boat? Cost per adult week of 1/28/17? Do they pick you up by the Cruise ship? If not, where do you meet? Please provide details and descriptions of what you do, what is done on the boat ride there and back, and what areas do you visit. How many people do you usually put on the boat. How What time do you leave and what time is arrival back? How much is cab ride per person to the NCL ship? Do you have an alternate way to get folks back to the ship in the event of a break down? we are 4 crusie passengers arriving next May on Royal Caribbeans Adventure of the Seas. We are looking for an all day sail over to St. John and Back. Is this possible and what is the rate? I notice you dont have amenu listed for an all day excursion, could you please give me an idea as to what to expect?
