After trying to get here twice, we finally got to the top. There is a charge for a short tour of the property.

After doing the walking tour through town we ended up at Blackbeards castle. You do have to pay a small fee to get on the grounds and in the tower. It was worth it. If anyone has a walking disability the grounds may be hard to navigate due to the amount of stairs. The houses and hotels that are located... More

Pirates castles are kind of neat. But there are only tours offered one day a week. You can walk around and see it in about 5 minutes. But the hotel attached has some great views - have a drink and you can tell all you friends and family you visited a real pirate's castle so why not?!

Family, friends and I took a cruise to the Caribbean. St Thomas was our first stop. We have been here many times and this is the first time we were able to see Blackbeard's Castle. Loved it! From the storytelling to the views it's well worth the trip!

We had a great time touring Blackbeard's Castle and the surrounding Historical buildings on the tour. The statues of all the Caribbean Pirates was fun posing with them all!

Part of the walking tour of Blackbeard's Castle Historical Park. There is a fee for walking through the park. Great piece of history, and the views from the castle of St. Thomas are wonderful. It's a hike to get up here via 99 Steps, but worth it. Once you get to the castle, you can climb to the top via... More

The place give you a look back into some history. From the pirates gallery to the touring of homes & a hotel from the 1800s, you get a little taste of how things used to be. Definitely a good change of pace from the beach.

I enjoyed this tour! I love history and pirates fascinate me! I enjoyed the historic houses and bits of information from the guides through out the property. Some were more eager to share and converse as others didn't say much. The pools are excellent. Lots of walki6, be prepared with good shoes.

We were able to catch a taxi from the port, which took us to the entrance for Blackbeard's castle for a reasonable fee. This was actually the first part of the walking tour, which allowed us to view a couple of other historic homes as we walked back down to the downtown shopping area. Well worth the $15 admission fee.

We walked the 99 steps to Blackbeard's castle, which really gave us a workout. When we arrived the castle was closed! It is open only on Tuesday and Wednesday. I was very disappointed that I could not go in the castle, but the views at the top were amazing! It was worth the trip up for the view!
