We had a great time touring Blackbeard's Castle and the surrounding Historical buildings on the tour. The statues of all the Caribbean Pirates was fun posing with them all!

Part of the walking tour of Blackbeard's Castle Historical Park. There is a fee for walking through the park. Great piece of history, and the views from the castle of St. Thomas are wonderful. It's a hike to get up here via 99 Steps, but worth it. Once you get to the castle, you can climb to the top via... More

The place give you a look back into some history. From the pirates gallery to the touring of homes & a hotel from the 1800s, you get a little taste of how things used to be. Definitely a good change of pace from the beach.

I enjoyed this tour! I love history and pirates fascinate me! I enjoyed the historic houses and bits of information from the guides through out the property. Some were more eager to share and converse as others didn't say much. The pools are excellent. Lots of walki6, be prepared with good shoes.

We were able to catch a taxi from the port, which took us to the entrance for Blackbeard's castle for a reasonable fee. This was actually the first part of the walking tour, which allowed us to view a couple of other historic homes as we walked back down to the downtown shopping area. Well worth the $15 admission fee.

We walked the 99 steps to Blackbeard's castle, which really gave us a workout. When we arrived the castle was closed! It is open only on Tuesday and Wednesday. I was very disappointed that I could not go in the castle, but the views at the top were amazing! It was worth the trip up for the view!

It was a shame that it was closed, except for two days out of the week. Which happened to be the day we flew in and the day I had a fishing charter scheduled. Maybe next time.

The view of the ocean (the vivid blue water) was awesome, the rest of the experience was haphazard. The historical speaker was good, only caught part of his talk, said he would be back to do the next session in 15 minutes and then never came back, very disappointing. Also the operation hours are very limited.

This was quite the hike up the hill, but beautiful views. We were surprised there was a charge to get in. It was $25 for 2 of us. There were pools inside that were kinda run down if you want to cool off. We just dipped our feet in. Included with the castle are homes and a pirate museum back... More

The castle is only open for very obscure hours two days a week - so if your not in town for those 8 hours you don't get to visit the castle. My husband and I went on a day it was closed (not knowing) and luckily and a day that the cruise ships weren't in town, so we had the... More
