We booked our family of four (two boys ages three and five) for a day tour while we were docked in St Thomas on the Carnival Victory. Kim was very good but I must admit that her first mate, Tim, really made our day. I love to snorkel and since it was just our family on the boat, I had him to myself to show me some great snorkel spots while my husband played on the beach with the boys. I saw lots of sea creatures and spent over two hours in the water. Lunch was tasty, Tim kept us hydrated and Capt. Kim was very good about tailoring our trip to accommodate mine and my son's seasickness. I hadn't anticipated that and she didn't mind spending more time anchored than sailing. As another reviewer mentioned, this isn't a tour for anyone high maintenance but it was very relaxed and flexible.

Okay, we didn't sail with Captain Kim, but we met her while we waited for our private charter to the British Virgin Islands. She was very kind to us and assured us we were waiting at the right place. We stood and talked for a few minutes while she waited for her group. Capt. Kim was meeting a party to take out sailing and got to the marina early to make sure her group could find her easily. She made quite the impression on us and we inquired with several people that live in Red Hook and they had great things to say about her. One couple at our resort had booked with her and were very happy with their sail. I wish we had heard about InterlineSail before our trip. We will book with Capt. Kim on our next visit to St. Thomas.

Capt. Kim made our vacation extra fabulous! Her down to earth, no nonsense attitude, her responsiveness to emails, her knowledge of the local area & sea life, and her advice for travel on the islands was fantastic. My husband & I were lucky enough to sail on Slo' Dancin without any other guests, so the trip was very relaxed & individualized. We felt very spoiled. It was the best wrap up to our vacation in the Virgin Islands & I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a high end, high maintenance type of sail, this will NOT be for you...but if you're looking for a fun, low maintenance, friendly sail that doesn't drop you to snorkel in an area with a bunch of other snorkelers, than contact Captain Kim!

I knew I was on the right boat when Captain Kim's first question was does anyone have anything else they need to do today?... A tip that she was more concerned with having a goodtime than being concerned that she may working a little unplanned overtime. Honestly some fools may like seeing "Ritz Carleton" painted on a slightly larger vessel but they were packed like a Cuban refugee vessel while my friends and I stretched out in spacious private luxury. When we went snorkeling Captain Kim had a trick that made all the Ritz Carlton passengers jealious. It was truly a magical day and Captain Kim was fully accommodating to everyone in my group. I'll be chartering Captain Kim's sailboat for two days during my next visit!

We enjoyed a terrific full day of sailing on Slo Dancin with Captain Kim and her very experienced mate, Josh. The sail began at Red Hook, a picturesque harbor on the east end of St Thomas that would be well worth visiting even if you were not planning to sail. Captain Kim met us at the dock and motored us out by dinghy to the boat’s mooring. We were under way in a few minutes, heading toward St John. One of the great things about the day was that we had complete freedom to choose how much time we spent sailing or snorkeling, whether and when we made stops and even which course we followed. Captain Kim and Josh suggested options and we were able to decide what appealed to us. For most of the day, we decided to take advantage of the very good sailing conditions, making the crossing from St Thomas to St John and then proceeding along the North shore of the island to see the beautiful bays and beaches of the Virgin Islands National Park. We returned downwind, and Captain Kim served a chicken salad lunch as we sailed toward a small island south of St Thomas for afternoon snorkeling. Captain Kim provided masks, fins and snorkels and Josh acted as our guide in the water, showing us the best spots to see exotic reef fish and three large stingrays and using specially prepared food in plastic bags to attract fish that we could then feed by hand. We returned to Red Hook around 5 pm. If you want a very personal sailing and snorkeling experience in the Virgin Islands with a wonderful Captain and mate, you should consider Slo Dancin.
