Captain Hugo was the best. From the start, he asked our expectations for catch, told us options and then set the course. We had an amazing day. We caught yellowtail, black tail, skipjack, a barracuda and ended with a fight in the chair Captain Hugo clearly called a shark which was a shark. He was great with our teenaged sons and indulged us in some island knowledge as we asked questions about everything. At the end, he filleted our catch and we had amazing fresh tuna for our dinners on St. John. We have done charters all over for fishing trips and this was a memorable and funday for our family. Captain Hugo is quiet until you talk to him. I think he respects boundaries but once you break them, he opens up and knows so much about the USVI wildlife (legit us “what’s that bird? Or that one? Why are they so far out? Have you caught a bird?), why sharks will eat your catch if you don’t reel it in on time, and overall was a wonderful source of information. We will ask for Captain Hugo by name next time and highly recommend Mixed Bag 2. Thanks for a wonderful day!…

FANTASTIC TRIP! If I could use Amazing in front of every sentence I would! 6 of us went out with Captain Lawrence and Lorenz on Mixed Bag III. I cannot say enough good things about these two. They helped us land 14 Fish! From the beginning to the end it was the most perfect experience. All my husband wanted to catch was a mahi and they definitely did not disappoint. Lawrence and Lorenz went out of their way to accommodate all of us with St John and St Thomas drop-off. The highlight for us was about the last 2 hours. We saw so much mahi and shark action with those boys using live bait and watching HUGE mahi swim in the waves to get the bait and trying to land them was an amazing experience. And to top it off we got to watch an amazing sunset coming back in. I HANDS DOWN recommend Mixed Bag. THANK YOU SO MUCH for an awesome experience. We can't wait to Book Again!…

Lawrence is a great captain . I’ve done a bunch of charters, and this was hands down the best I’ve ever been on. He had us on fish the whole time , and 4 hours flew by . Super knowledgeable about fish , the area, and cut up the fish so we could cook it afterwards. My gf had also never fished and he helped her while I landed Tuna. Would 10/10 use them again.…

We went fishing on Mixed Bag 3 and departed from St John. We had an absolute blast with Captain Lawrence. While fishing is always a roll of the dice. Capt Lawerence was a safe bet. Our trip was a combination of deep sea and reef fishing. We caught Dolphin and a mixed variety of reef fish (yellow tail, grouper, etc). I have done trips with Mixed Bag multiple times over the past 10 years or so. Have always had a great time!!…

We went out into the storm with Captain Lawrence and came back with more than enough tuna to feel our friends and family! What was even better was seeing the captain have just as much fun as we were. Definitely recommend and will be back!
