First, while so many of the other people from my flight and the other that arrived around the same time were waiting in line at the two national car rental companies at the airport, we went right outside, called the Discount office, and were picked up in five minutes. The driver brought the car we were renting, helped us with our luggage, and drove us to the office to sign our paperwork/arrange our payment. Our Jeep Compass was in great condition...virtually new, and it cost us about $75/night for the week. The drop off was just as easy, and our 2nd driver may have even been friendlier than the first. I will definitely use them again. On a side note, I feel even more confident in making this recommendation because while I was picking up my vehicle, I met the woman who is the publisher for the monthly magazine..."What's Going on in St. Thomas?" She spends her time going between her home in Florida and St. Thomas. She was using this very same service, and she knew the women in the office well. That tells me something when someone who is there so much uses their service regularly.

I rented a Jeep Wrangler for a week from Discount Car Rental. The rental process was smooth and fast. We did the reservation via e-mail. The pick-up/drop-off from/to the airport was efficient and convenient. You do need to call them once you have your luggage. They arrive within 5 minutes. They are located just 1 mile from the terminal. They have very competitive rates. The charges were clear from the beginning. They also explained very well what additional charges there might be (i.e damaged/lost electronic keys, damaged tire / sand removal / interior getting wet due to rain). I knew from the very beginning about potential extra charges. Customer service was really good. The only thing is that I wished they gave me a newer Jeep. But the car gave me no issues. I drove everywhere including St John. I will definitely rent from this company again.

Our Sunday flight arrival time changed to after closing hours and the Discount Car mgmt went beyond to get us our vehicle. My daughter (adult) was picked up from the STT airport and taken to the office and allowed to transfer our rental in order to be waiting at the airport to pick us up Sunday night. Had we not had the vehicle it would have created a huge challenge for the first two days of our trip, as our rental property was in a remote location. We are thankful and so pleased with the ease of working with this company. Look forward to coming back again!

Renting a 4 door jeep from Discount Car Rental in St Thomas to drive to St John ran very smoothly. Vehicle was ideal for 5 adults with luggage. Women at rental office were very professional and pick up and drop off was completed rapidly. Only slight hiccup was at airport pickup when driver was unable to find us due to his limited understanding of basic English. However, as the airport is small we soon found him. I highly recommend Discount car Rental over other agencies that either recommend the wrong vehicle, have complex requirements, or unexpected costs.

We had a great experience with Discount car rental. Jeep was a 2019 - 2 door wrangler sport in good condition. Shuttle drivers were prompt, friendly and courteous, helped with bags and transferred them from the shuttle vehicle into our jeep for us. Girls inside also very friendly, helpful and pleasant. We will use them again. Thanks!

We were returning renters this March (2023) when we rented a Jeep from Discount (for two weeks). The last time we were on St Thomas was 2016 and we rented from Discount then as well. We have tried a couple of other companies on St Thomas over the years we've been traveling to the island. And we can definitely say that Discount is the place to go! They are on-time when they pick you up at the airport, courteous while processing your rental, and their selection of vehicles is Excellent! We recommend to all our friends that travel to St Thomas!

On our visit to St Thomas, I was looking to rent a two door Jeep Wrangler and Discount Car Rental helped us with that need. The reservation process was easy and quick receiving information back almost immediately or within 24 hours. The vehicle we were given was ready and in great shape. It met our needs and allowed us to traverse St Thomas and St John easily. Price was great for a seven day rental.
The staff are courteous and pleasant. They moved through the process quickly and got us on our way. Returning the vehicle was just as easy. They pick you up from and deliver you to the airport. All in all, I am extremely pleased with Discount Car Rental, the vehicle and especially the staff. I would urge others to consider using this company.

The whole process was so easy exclamation. Mark people were very friendly efficient and got us in-and-out in a timely fashion.The car was in great shape. The price was great and when I had extra questions they were answered by them politely and efficiently.

We were headed for a weeks vacation to St John. The rental Jeeps on St John we’re in short supply so we found discount car rental in Saint Thomas. They picked us up at the airport for a short ride to the rental lot. Short period of time to fill out paper work and to the big red ferry we went in a nice late model Wrangler. Only issue concerning is Return time of 10:am sharp or they want to penalize you $500 🥴 not exactly giving you the warm and fuzzies 🤷♂️ Nice man gave us ride back to airport with help unloading luggage. We would definitely go back again.

Our experience with Discount Car Rental was excellent . The staff was friendly and cheerful and very efficient . Our 4 door jeep was in top condition and we never had a problem during the 12 days of rental. We were picked up from the airport with a small van and driven back to the airport in our rental Jeep.
The rental return was smooth and there we no additional charges slapped on.
The cost of the rental was slightly less than other places that rented Jeeps.
We took the Jeep to St. John , which is a must see. You could get away with driving a SUV but the Jeep is definitely the most comfortable way to go .
Nothing negative to report about Discount Car Rental. Everything was A+
