Went with Capt. Tony for a full day excursion around all the best snorkeling spots in St. John and St. Thomas. We are a family of four, two 60 year olds and two 20 year olds. We met Capt Tony at his boat, Salt and Pepper at Compass Point Marina and had a marvelous time. Snorkeled at all the national park beaches and Capt Tony is a wealth of information and share great stories of the history and area. He truly enjoys what he does and he is an expert at showing off his islands and beaches. We went to Lime Out, floating taco bar as well as the Pizza boat. We have chartered with Captains in many, many destinations but by far feel that Captain Tony was exceptional. You will not regret a day with him and his beautiful boat.

Thanks you so much for choosing Local Mocean Charters and spending the day with us out on the water. You were one of the lucky ones who got to enjoy the Taco boat before it closed down. Hopefully they can find a new location for all to enjoy. I am so glad that you all had a great time and please come back and visit again soon.

Captain Tony was fantastic, he took great care in captaining the boat to ensure everyone was comfortable even in choppy seas. Made sure we had a variety of snorkeling experiences including five stops to various cays with unique qualities. Highly recommend!

Captain Tony is a very experienced local who knows all the best spots. He’s super informative, if you want him to be, like a USVI encyclopedia! His skills as a boat captain are fantastic and make the ride and experience perfection. His boat is super comfortable and powered by new twin, whisper quiet, 300 Mercury SeaPro’s. He’s super easy to spend the day with and will take you where you want and show you what you want. The best way to have an awesome day is to just let him make your plan for the day - you won’t regret it. We did an underwater cave where the we watched some squid schools, spent time on beautiful desolate beaches, swam with turtles, had lunch delivered from Pizza Pi’s boat to our boat, snorkeled a ship wreck and saw tons of other spots around St Thomas. We’ve done many private boat charters in the USVI’s and many other places around the world and Tony provided one of our most enjoyable experiences. Do yourself a favor and book a trip - you will be glad you did!

Great day spent with Captain Tony of Local Mocean. Tony picked the 2 of us up at the National Park dock. What a great boat. The 35' Intrepid is powerful and well equipped. As Tony moved away from the dock and gave us our safety briefing we discussed what we would like to do. We had snorkeled most of the sites you can reach by car through the years so we wanted to hit a few more isolated spots, grab some lunch and chill. Tony has many different ideas so if you just have a basic idea he will be great at filling in the blanks. We started going around the island and Tony shared some of the islands history and some interesting facts. . We made our first snorkel stop over by Waterlemon we had never explored. It was a great snorkel experience. We made another stop over by Salt Pond Bay but again not an area you would want to swim out to from the shore. Another great stop. It got to around 11:30 and the focus became some lunch and Tony suggested "Lime Out" which is a great floating taco stand. Great tacos, drinks and so unique you will not stop smiling. We finished lunch and Tony suggested a little hike up the Reef Bay trail. It's an easy walk. You get to go on a trail for about 15 minutes, see a sugar mill, see the waterfall, see some petroglyphs. Off to another great snorkel..We had some more time and actually just cruised around for the remainder of the day. Just cruised, had a couple beers and take in all the beauty.You truly won't be disappointed and Captain Tony is a great guy.

Captain Tony is fabulous! A local who knows the water and islands and will make sure you have a great trip. Our group had a full day charter and Tony accommodated us by extending our day by an hour so we could fit it all in...swam w/turtles, drinks at Foxy's and Soggy Dollar, lunch at Pirates Bight on Norman Island, stopped at Sandy Spit ("island" featured in Corona commercials), snorkeling at the Indians, and then the Baths at Virgin Gorda...overall a great day on a beautiful boat thanks to Captain Tony! Highly recommend the private charter vs. a large group....it's worth every penny!

Thanks so much for the awesome review. Its always fun to be able to hit all those spots in a day. Normally that is a two day charter worth of activities but we were able to make it happen with our extended day. I have many more amazing places to explore! Next time you are in the islands book with Local Mocean Charters and we can take you on another great adventure.

Outstanding day and the highlight of our vacation! Capt Tony is the best - a highly skilled captain, extremely knowledgeable of the history, beaches and snorkeling spots and so fun and accommodating. Our family of active young adults had a fantastic day, even better than our already high expectations. Thanks for everything, Capt Tony, cheers!

We requested new areas to explore. We have vacationed here for about 10 years, and we always go snorkeling. All 7 new reefs we explored had good fish populations and thriving coral !
I saw an octopus be eaten by tropical fish yesterday! Tony knows the currents and always positions the boat so you swim with the current.
He does a good job of keeping the boat about 20-30 yards from you, which is comforting.
We will book with Tony again next year for certain !

Thank you for the great review. I take great pride in providing the best tour for our customers. I always enjoy finding new locations to give guests that new experience. The US and British Virgin Islands has over 50 islands and cays so there are always new spots to explore! It was a pleasure taking you all around and I hope we can get you all out again for another great adventure.

Had the opportunity to go out twice with Captain Tony and Local Mocean Charters during our week in St. John, once for a half day with the kids and then for a full day with just the adults.
Captain Tony was able to create a great and unique experience for both of our outings.
I couldn't recommend this charter enough. Captain Tony has the local knowledge of all of the best spots around the USVI and can tell you a lot about the history of the islands as well.

Another great day on the water with Captain Tony! We booked with Tony the first time four years ago based on really good reviews. He is the only captain we have used since that first time - several times each year. The boat is clean, well maintained, and in great shape. Tony is an exceptional captain. He caters to the guests and flexes the itinerary based on their wants and skill/comfort level as it relates to snorkeling. He is a knowledgeable tour guide, fantastic ambassador to the USVI, patient instructor for the first time snorkeler, and just creates an atmosphere for an amazing day all the way around. We simply can't recommend him highly enough!

We were referred to Tony by a business partner, and were thrilled with our all-day private charter around the island of St John, USVI. A third generation local, Tony knows the island and it's bays and waters intimately, and is knowledgeable and attentive.
We had a delightful day discovering new coves and snorkel spots best accessed by boat. The Intrepid is comfortable and was very roomy for our group of 6.
Tony stopped at our choice of lunch options...we chose LimeOut, a popular gourmet taco boat. He called in our order, and they delivered our tacos to the boat by dingy! Best tacos ever.
If you want a fun day seeing St John and nearby islands from the water, enjoying good food and snorkeling along the way, with a local history lesson, call Tony!
