Nightwind is a full service day sail and snorkel excursion, sailing to St John and other small islands suitable for young and old alike. Our niche is private sails for families and groups up to 15 guests. We offer open sails as well for those wishing to meet and sail with new friends. We sail and snorkel at two different locations during our full day sail. Our offerings include continental breakfast, snacks, lunch, dessert and an open bar (something for everyone).Nightwind sails from Sapphire Marina on the East End of St. Thomas close to Red Hook. Captain Rick and First Mate Wes offer top notch personalized service from the moment you step onto the deck of Nightwind. Booking is simple and easy you may book online or for a more person touch you can call and speak with Cathy to confirm your sail on Nightwind.

The seas were very high and Nightwind was holding steady. We had a great ride in some big winds, beautiful snorkeling, and a killer lunch! Capn Rick and crew Deb were the ultimate adventurous hosts, taking excellent care of us while being fun, relaxed, and informative. This is real sailing and a real "heeling" experience!!!!!

Our group of 13 had a great time with Captain Rick & Deb. Our group ranged in at from 2-82 and all had a wonderful experience. They were patient with our crew of kids and helpful getting them all set to snorkel - some for the first time. The lunch was yummy and the drinks were plentiful! Would recommend this... More

We've now sailed with Captain Rick and First Mate Deb three times. Each was unique and each was an awesome day. Highly recommend Nightwind Charters. Captain goes wherever wind/weather makes sense. Great food, and friendly, personable interaction with Rick and Deb. Both professional and at the same time very friendly. Great guidance on snorkeling and fun interaction about islands and... More

This was a great day of sailing and snorkeling! This was not a packed catamaran that motored most of the time. Capt Rick got us out of the marina--then sails up! It was just a lot of fun. The Nightwind is a beautifully maintained boat, the Captain and firs mate were very attentive, and the sailing and snorkeling was spot... More

Capt' Rick and his first mate Deb did an outstanding job hosting our snorkel/sailing day. We saw several boats that were packed with people- Rick only books a reasonal # and we had an awesome time! The snorkeling was really great- esp at Little St James Island! ( We saw octopus, lobster, a huge eagle ray and a good variety... More

This was by far the best excursion I've ever been on. Captain Rick and Deb were the best! It was great that the boat wasn't overcrowded like some of the cruise ship excursions can be. There was plenty of space to relax, lay out in the sun, and just enjoy the beauty around us. We sailed to two different locations... More

Captain Rick and Deb were relaxed yet attentive. They worked hard to ensure everyone was satisfied. The sailing, snorkeling, food, and drinks were great. When our group of eight were anchored beside a similar boat packed with 25 or 30 passengers, I knew we made the right choice sailing on the Nightwind.

Second trip out on Nightwind with Captain Rick and Deb, they are a well oiled machine. They take the time to tell you about the local sites. Snorkeled in three different spots, Rick even asked us which places we went to on the previous trip so he could make sure and take us to new spots!! Lunch and drinks are... More

I looked for a long time to book a private day with a group of 8. We were coming on two different cruise ships in two different ports. Night wind was one of very few options that can accommodate this size group and still be a private tour. And what a day it was. Cathy worked with us closely when... More

A group of us went sailing on the Nightwind with Rick and Deb for a day of snorkeling and enjoying the ocean. It was a great experience and relaxing, relaxing, relaxing. We had good food, and lunch was cooked while we snorkeled. The food was very good, even better than the cruise ship food. Thanks Rick and Deb for a... More
