I highly recommend St. Thomas Scuba and Snorkeling Adventures. They are super knowledgeable about the area and can give you the very best snorkeling tour available. This tour is completely customizable too. Whatever you want to do! Snorkel, swim, beach, food, tour the island, or any combination. They are super flexible. For a small fee you can purchase the photo package and the guide will take pictures of your activities -even under water- and send them directly to you. We got some great pics. (Attached are pics our guide took)
My husband and I booked the Multi Beach Adventure and our guide was the awesome Webb. He picked us up in his Jeep at the cruise ship port and we drove to our snorkeling location. There we were able to view beautiful coral formations, an abundance of colorful sea life including fish, sting rays, and even an octopus! After snorkeling we were treated to an assortment of cold beverages including local craft beer and rum punch and given an informed driving tour of the island. We stopped at a couple of overlooks to take pictures and ended at Paradise Point for an evening sunset. Webb then had us back to the ship in plenty of time. It was so worth it and better than any shore excursion we could have purchased from the cruise like. Next time we are in St. Thomas we are booking with them again for sure.

Perry was an excellent tour guide! We were originally scheduled to do a boat tour, but unfortunately the boat broke down the day before we were scheduled. Web was incredibly kind and offered us a Jeep tour with Perry instead, which was awesome. We saw so many cool fish around the reef, and even a squid! We also got to see sea turtles and stingrays!
I would absolutely recommend spending the $40 on the photographs, you will not be disappointed! The photos are incredible and it’s much easier to let them do the diving and photographing than you being distracted by trying to do it yourself.

Seriously, take the tour! I can’t recommend these guys enough!

First day on ST Thomas we landed at 1500, checked in, then took a ferry to ST John and walked around aimlessly. Ended up eating dinner in Red Hook area.
Was an alright first day.

However, didn’t feel like vacation until today.

Did the Snorkel and Jeep tour the morning of our second day. A 4-5 hour excursion turned into a 6 hour adventure.

Snorkeled two different spots. Saw PLENTY of sea life including the turtle in the pics - was 100% worth the extra $40 for the pictures throughout the day as Perry takes more than you think to capture yourself.

What blew me away was his knowledge of the island as well as the surrounding islands. Learned more talking to Perry than I did in 3 months of scraping forums for “what to do”. Toured Red Hook, Frenchman Quarter, Magens Bay, etc. However, what was really cool was he brought us to local surf spots, best places to eat in the eyes of a local, and truly showed us the ENTIRE island.
Felt more like a buddy visiting an old friend and getting a vip rundown than just a tourist with his tour guide.

His preparation didn’t stop there - had a cooler of water (thank God) and beer.

Ended the day with lunch which was a plus.

Cheers to St Thomas Scuba and Snorkel.
Professionals from every aspect.
Perry’s a great people person who happens to love the activities the island has to offer more.
Was a blast to spend a day with him.
10x better than I would’ve thought heading into it.

Highly recommend do the Day Snorkel & Jeep Tour at minimum on your first or second day to enrich the rest of your vacation time on St Thomas.

We are excited to go back the next couple days for the Night Snorkel and Surf Lesson.

I'm visiting St Thomas for the week and was really hoping they had some surfing here. I had been looking online and fortunately found St Thomas Scuba and Snorkel Adventures! Web answered my call promptly, not only was I able to rent a surfboard for a fair price but I was able to get some snorkel rentals for the week!

Web is guy to know when it comes to anything surf related in the Virgin Islands whether you are a new surfer needing lessons or just new to surfing here. He told me the best places to go this time of year and even told me what the surf should be like the rest of the week with the swell coming in.

I met up with him down at Hull Bay, he brought a shirt for me to wear incase I needed it to protect against sunburn and even had some board wax for me to use! I was pleasantly surprised he decided to come out surfing with me. I've only ever been out surfing in So Cal and only long boarded so he gave me a few pointers for short boarding and watched out for me to make sure I didn't go too far over to where it's really shallow since it's a reef break. He even let me swap out from a foam shortboard to a hard shortboard!

20 out of 10, I recommend anyone coming to the islands looking to surf, snorkel, or scuba to hit up Web with St Thomas Scuba and Snorkel Adventures!

We had such a great time with Heather! We booked a one day Rent a Local on St. Thomas and one day on St. John and Heather was our guide both days. She was so wonderful and did a great job with the kiddos (ages 5, 9 and 12). It can be hard to balance a preschooler's needs against two tweens, but she was so helpful. Sometimes she would snorkel with the big kids to show them stingrays or turtles, sometimes we would all go out together and she had a floatie that she would pull the 5 year old around on, and sometimes she would just build sandcastles with the little one so the rest of us could snorkel together. She even brought snacks along in case we were hungry during the long day (my kids are ALWAYS hungry!), and she noticed what we liked on the first day and then catered to that for the rest of the time. My girls love collecting rocks, and when she picked us up the second day, she had decorated several rocks with cute drawings and "Virgin Islands 2021" and gave them to us as souvenirs! Also, I purchased the photo package and she took great shots of us underwater and on the beach, and she even cropped and edited several of the pictures to make them EVEN BETTER! I have the best pictures of our trip now. I would definitely 100% recommend the Rent a Local tour and Heather!! And, families with young kids, she will definitely work with you to make sure you are comfortable and everyone has a good time. Five Stars!!

Hakko and Web are fantastic in so many ways. - knowledge of Carib aquatic life, personable, phenomenal photographers. I have booked with them twice and both times got a photo that was mind boggling. My sister thought it was a blue-screen fake with a rubber jelly fish. Ha!

I am not saying that you will definitely get an amazing photo because there are A LOT of variables but, ... you will definitely get many awesome shots.

In hindsight, they could have charged me twice as much and I would have felt I got a great value.

P.S. Trip Adv is asking me a lot of irritating Yes/No questions and I am going to just and

This was the most eventful part of my vacay to St. Thomas and St. John with my kids. It was a full five hours of fun! The guide, Heather made a difference. She was attentive, caring, and a bolt of fun and enthusiasm. She made a special stop for me as I had a personal issue that required a special product at the convenience store...from there we started our trek. She knew all the off-beaten roads and lookout points. We stopped at Brewer's Beach for some snorkeling and beachcombing. The beach was nice, with all the amenities onsite. She guided us to the right spots were we did spot those elusive turtles as well as other fish, and stingrays. She agreed to be our photographer and the pictures that resulted from this underwater excursion are like magazine quality. The pics I posted on my social media speak for themselves. She was very patient and went out of her way to make sure that we were well accommodated throughout our excursion. I really like how she made sure my son was comfortable too, since he opted not to snorkel as he hates salt and sand-not into the beach. She gave him suggestions for things that he could enjoy while my daughter and I snorkeled. They really enjoyed the trip and I must say it was an exhilarating event for me and made for an extraordinary Mother's Day! I will never forget this day in my LIFE.

We are traveling as a family with some very beginner snorkelers (me and my daughter) and Web was very responsive and professional with detailed information on the excursion when we booked with Web a month ago. When Heather picked us up she was kind, outgoing, and INCREDIBLY knowledgeable on everything on the island from the local culture to the marine life and to the history of the island. I highly recommend booking with Web and his crew. Heather was amazing and I hear her other teammates are as well. My kids loved seeing all the marine life and respecting their natural habitat. I can’t wait to return!! Thank you Web and Heather, we are exhausted after such a fun day! Which is HUGE for the kids!

If we could leave 6 stars we would. We're just back from a long weekend on St. Thomas and had the most amazing time on island. The absolute highlight of our trip was our Jeep and Snorkel Tour with Heather. From the planning (so communicative!) to pickup (nice comfy clean jeep) to dropoff (after a packed day), she was simply spectacular, squeezing every moment at two snorkel sites with a local snack in between. The most impressive thing was how adaptive she was to our style--all four of us are adults who'd snorkeled quite a bit before. She tailored how we explored and what she pointed out (TURTLES!! So many colorful fish and urchin and formations! A SPOTTED RAY!) I've never toured with such a fun and kind guide. She had a keen eye and an awesome style that kept us adventuring while feeling safe. Heather's knowledge of the island and its flora and fauna and suggestions for restaurants and sights to see were all impressive. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent trip. Our guide Danny knew the waters well. Safety for guests, the environment and the sea critters was handled patiently and professionally. Never felt rushed and we were a little slow as this our first time snorkeling here. Phosphorescent plankton was beautiful.
