Loved snorkeling here. One of the best places to snorkel. Easy entry and exit from shore to the left of the pier, but I suggest, walking down the pier and entering via ladder and working your way back to shore. For kids, it’s nice to start from shore to ease them into it and work your way out and around the rocks and pier. Definitely worth the visit. Unbelievable variety and always something amazing to be seen! Calm waters and an easy snorkel. My favorite places to snorkel so far. It’s like snorkeling IN an aquarium, very cool. Also, walking the pier itself is beautiful, and the view looking back to town is stunning.

The snorkeling was great! Obviously you can't do it if there is a cruise ship in port, but right now it's easy to enter the water, either from the rocky "beach" area or from the big boulders next to the pier. The pier also has benches for those not snorkeling, and there is parking right in front, or you can park in the big lot down the street. The small downtown area is right next to the pier, so everything is close.

Enter at the beach and snorkel the rocks and the pier. Saw turtles, ray, stingray, squid, and many different fish. You can hear the underwater activity. I am a diver and still enjoyed the snorkeling. There are ladders at several places on the pier where people can rest if needed. Unfortunately, you can't jump off the pier any more. Too many rules.

We stayed on St. Croix for two weeks and traveled here several times. First to experience a new place and later to fish, snorkel and scuba. The sea life around the pier is spectacular... fish, turtles, coral, lobster, crabs, sting ray all around. The best view is at the second outcropping. You can launch from shore! Worth your time! The reason for the mid range rating is the area around the pier is full of trash. Sad sight in such a beautiful place...otherwise a 5. In addition, many of the building were still showing signs of the hurricanes so not much to see. And worse yet, the local people didn't seem to show the ambition and pride to showcase this wonderful place. Still worth your time to visit but tarnished by the lack of up keep.
